Ways to Fast Track to Hhonors Gold?

I got my shining new Silver card today (was gold, but with about 2 stays in the last year, that's well gone).

Along with it was a fast track promo: Stay 4 nights from May 1 to July 31 to requalify for Gold.

Based on other HH offers out there, I might actually go for this... May be needing a few nights of Brisbane hotel stays anyways!

I got a shining new Silver card the other day as well as the fast track promotion. Not sure whether it is worth spending >$600 to get HHonors Gold back for another 12-18 months considering I do not plan on travelling that much in that time. I don't know about you but a bigger hotel room does not have that much appeal to me....

Well well well, the question should be is there any way to fasttrack to Hhonors Diamond? My partner (who has been fasttracked to Gold twice, including the most recent one) just got a targetted promotion to fast track to Diamond with seven stays... Me on the other hand who has been Gold for years (2003 I think) have nothing of the sort :evil: Reminds me a little of a similar QF thread.

Just dropped back to pleb as v few stays last year. Not too bothered as I got HH GLD status at no cost anyway (some FFP linked promo). The free internet at Hilton TYO was handy though.

Anyway I just got mail from HH. Along with my new pleb card I got an offer of fast track back to GLD status - that I can claw my way back to GLD with just 4 stays by 31JUL.

Unfortunately I'm not taking it up as I do need those nights to requalify for SPG PLT which is kinda my priority. That along with the SPG q2 free weekend nights promo.

Will just have to hope for an SPG or nice design hotel in Shinjuku if I do go back to Tokyo...

Well i am in my 7th year as HH diamond and yet to receive any promo from them.Even though my current year profile is no stays,no nights and no money spent I dont even get emailed re current promotions i see here and on FT.
I am now hooked on SPG.Promos every quarter,action taken with complaints and plenty of opportunities for extra points.On top of that an attractive conversion to Aadvantage-wouldnt even bother with HH conversions.
I did worry about the lack of lounge access but have had it on 3 of 5 stays so far this trip.With the other 2 stays got to stay in a suite.

At least with HH gold, I am guaranteed breakfast.

(Or if I book a breakfast inclusive rate, I've got free internet access or another 1K HHonors points).

One thing I'd like for HHonors to provide is an upgraded award booking - with SPG, if you pay an additional 1-1.5K SPG you can book a suite/room with exec lounge access.

Lounge access officially only applies at Westins and Sheratons. That said, some of the newer Westins (instead they have some sort of relaxation corner whatever that is), whereas I have also been able to access lounges at hotels other than Westins and Sheratons that do have them.

My main concern is getting suite upgrades and thus far have been rather successful whether paid or award stay. Can count on one hand the number of times I've not had suites over the past 18 months. Though there were a few times it took some initiative on my part to get the property to play ball...

For HHonors, Gold is cool enough.

Aside from the Guaranteed breakfast, I have received over 35K bonus points in the last 8 weeks from non targeted promotions I was able to register for.

All in all, I have earned some 70K HHonors points from USD1470 expenditure over 8 stays and 11 night. (Most booked directly into upgraded accoms with the Jan 50% sale - since that included breakfast, I utilized complimentary internet)

Looks like I just convinced IainF to take up the Hilton Racing 4 stay challenge and I'm even throwing him a Guest for a Stay voucher.

What promo's were they serfty?? I have 8 nights coming up in Cairns and wuold love to add to my points

2 Conrad (HKG) stays earned a direct 10K each; add to that "triple"/"double" points at participating Hiltons (We stayed in Thailand, Hong Kong and Japan).

drron - don't mean to play for the dark side , but could the reason why you've never gotten HH promos be because you've not elected to accept promotional material?

I didn't get SPG promos for a while as I hadn't opted to receive promo stuff via email, (if i hadn't read them on FT, i'd get them via snail mail weeks after, sometimes after the sign up period has ended) till one of the Starwood Lurkers on FT fixed it for me.
