Ways to Fast Track to Hhonors Gold?

I'm probably more apprehensive of whether to proceed with the challenge or not. I have some stays coming up but I don't want to make them Hilton if I don't have to. (Although if this challenge is real, I can definitely see the downstream benefits.)

Especially if I have to move heaven and hell like LW did to get the deal sealed.
From my experience , I hope that for others signing up now that they have built the "bridge" between the sign-on page and your Hilton Hhonor account. Seems that it wasn't there (or working) when I tried to get mine last year, but I was persistent in contacting them giving all the information and copying in relevant people in Hilton. Finally I found somebody who was willing to help. She emailed me to tell me the upgrade had been processed and a couple of weeks later I email her to advise that I had just booked 10 nights (that they would have otherwise missed out on getting).

What is supposed to show in one's HHonors account online if the racing deal has been registered for? I guess if US people are doing this it may be slow to update until certain times.
Presumably you will have a registration code on your account (ask Mal he may know given his comment above about checking with Hhonors Customer Service)

I'm also miffed that stays not booked through the Hilton portal don't count for tier status. My recent stay for AFF Gather #1 was booked through QF Ready Rooms; I probably should have booked the same thing through the Hilton website with the relevant promotion code (which was buried in web searching) and got the count added to my account..... Actually, those points are still pending for credit....grrr......
That's the importance of checking whether the room rate (and who you are booking through) is eligible for stay count before one books. Trick for new players - I think most of us have failed to check at least once in our lives and missed out .

I called Hilton HHonors today (via the number on the back of the member card) and they confirmed that I had registered for Hilton Racing. Admittedly, the attendant who took my call hadn't heard of the promotion before, but he seemed to be able to track it down on the web on his computer then reconfirm the details of the promotion.

And the reconfirmation is that it is based on stays, not days.

So I have 88 days to stay at 4 Hiltons (or Hilton group hotels? Makes BNE interesting for those wanting to come here, with two options: Hilton Brisbane or Conrad Treasury Hotel).

Hmmm.....gah, no Hilton groups hotels in CBR (not that it probably could be expected, right?)

I think I will just wait til I get my card:). From reading the FT thread, it may be til April 2010:mrgreen: but I'll wait and see...
Got card today, and it's valid till March 2010:)

I'm having similar problems.
Signed up but didn't get a confirmatory email. I didn't think that would be a problem – not being told anywhere on the application to expect a confirmatory email. Neither did I record a screenshot, having no reason to expect there would be any difficulties.
As you can guess, it didn't record my application until I called up after my first stay and the call centre did it for me. They are requesting 'proof' that I applied earlier before retroactively crediting stays - proof that they never sent me:evil:.

I have subsequently signed up again twice on the Racing website, as an experiment, and STILL haven't received any emails, making me suspicious that online applications disappear into a black hole somewhere.

Having failed to get anywhere with their call centre, I have sent an email. Hopefully something will come of it.[FONT=&quot]

I called Hilton the other day just to ask a few questions. Along with that, I checked my Hilton Racing details even though - like you - I had received no hard evidence except a confirmation web page after I signed up (i.e. I have no email saying that I signed up for the challenge). Despite this, the operator managed to find that yes I am on Hilton Racing and yes I am only a couple of stays away from completing the Racing challenge (and with about 2 months to go). I know I'm treading on thin ice here, but we'll see how things pan out.

If worse comes to worse I may be short of everything except for HHonors points. :-|

Success! Thanks to help from Lindsay Wilson, a few more emails to the right places have found someone able to make a 'one-off' exception and include my first stay. :D

Don't give up first time you get a 'no'!

Happy to provide further details about who helped and email addresses, by PM.

I've always had great service from Hilton, so not unexpected. Now get those 2 stays you need, Will....

Next week I have my last two stays out of the four required coming up on the weekend in almost rapid succession.

After that, we'll see....

I know this is a oft answered question here lately!

But does anyone have the T & C for this HHonours Racing Promo? As far as i know all it requires is 4 stays but im sure that there is more to it...

Just a little OT.

HHonors is now not posting points or stays for the HPC $99 bookings.

This is as per the T&C however they have often posted in the past so it's something to consider if using this type of booking and counting on the points or stays.

I don't have the terms and conditions but it is 4 stays in 90 days from the time you sign up to the promotion.

I noticed this for my latest stay in AKL last month. Not happy as I still payed A$99 for the stay. I will be sending Hilton an email.

It may well be time to drop HHonors and concentrate on Priority Club....

Hilton Racing T&C's here including the Stay 4, Get Gold (at the top)- they also refer to the Hilton Hhoros T&C's as well.

Hi Bill, my HPC $99 booking stay posted but I did not receive any points or importantly, a stay credit for this 4 stay promo. I filed a 'missing" stay request, and lo behold, got the stay credit and a few miserly (as expected) points.

As an aside, my first stay as a Gold did not bring much joy at Conrad Bali....no room upgrade as the hotel was full; given free breakfast as per Hhonors benefit guidelines. Hoping for better luck in Dec whe I stay at Hilton KL.:p

I have stayed three time at the Auckland Hilton on the special (NZD113) "Great rate" and none have posted as qualifying for stay/night credit.

I did get a few points for incidentals for my stays last November but it took a lot of effort.

This is the only place I have not managed to get a credit for the "Great rate".

Not too concerned since I am HH gold 'til end of Mar 2010....

Mine didn't work for Hilton on the Park in Melbourne, Sydney and twice for Sydney

If they ever collected the $99 cards I'd have to stop using this rate :!:

Some people have all the luck. I was asked for my $99 card as soon as I checked into the AKL Hilton but I still have 2 cards as you were kind enough to give me one of your spares.

Only have Hilton Gold status until March 2009 and I cannot see how I can extend this any further even with another Hilton Racing promotion....

Don't stay at HH hotels much but the Hilton Shinjuku is a regular haunt when I visit the Tokyo and I have found the Executive club benes for Golds there v handy.
Is that anywhere near Tokyo station? I might consider staying there next year when I visit Tokyo and will be travelling by the "bullet' train to Kyoto.
