That's my question what service are you not getting. I listed a couple of services that are still forthcoming despite of the reassessment. What service is missing? What are you not getting as a customer? Well besides the appropriate DYKWIA recognition.
I'm a touch OCD with these things. When I qualify for something I expect to...mmmm...well....qualify. I don't expect to see a message telling me, after pretty much exceeding qualification by almost double, that I am being "assessed".(12 days and counting.) I don't get this with Qantas, and I don't expect it with Virgin. I agree it is a little illogical, but hey that is me. I know, unlike yourself, I'm only an occasional flyer but I hope I have some value to DJ.
