Well that sucks. Was looking forward to meeting you. And now you're all non-clicky and called a 'Guest' so you won't even know I was looking forward to meeting you :(.

Anyways, I still haven't booked my flight MEL-SYD in the morning yet. Boo to Tiger getting grounded, I guess J* won't be price matching me up. Who's on what flights please so I can pick one where I'll have a friend.

Yeah big time :(

I'm taking QF418 at 9am ex MEL - booked a JASA

Hi all I will be going to this flying up on QF 422 on Saturday and am happy to host some one in to the first lounge Just let me know Wayne

Reckon I might book a JASA ON QF420 (9.30) because I like the flight number. QF422 is cutting it a bit fine for taking advantage of the full 3 hours in the Flounge I think.

It is almost impossible to get a full three hours in the lounge with these ... I know I've tried. :p

The best I could manage was about 2¾ hours when the flight was delayed 50 minutes.

Remember, boarding commences 40 minutes before the departure time and check opens never more than 3 hours before the flight and often later. Then you need to negotiate emigration.

If everything goes to schedule and you are first in the check-in queue, then 130 minutes at most.

But it's an amazing 130 minutes! :p

Sam, your flying in from Brisbane aren't you?

If you were serious about an F Lounge run, you would take QF8 early in the morning.

F Lounge run like a Boss. :p

Would make no difference, you still need to check in at SYD non airside!

Due to a complete fluke of work circumstances, I am booked also on JQ 35 on the Saturday the 30th! rock on yeah! - thanks to Moa999 for the heads up on the thread!

I'm guesting in one work colleague who has never been into an airline lounge before! ha - cant wait to see his face.

look forward to meeting some new and familiar faces.

Cheers

As markis10 says:

The only way that’d work is for QF19 back to BNE on a Thursday, but as already pointed out in another thread, that doesn’t afford much F-time as QF19 leaves much closer to when QF8 arrives, unfortunately.

It was briefly considered though, alas, JQ wont play ball.

Now if one were departing MEL, you could get a lot more F lounge(s) time in:

This would only work if you could check-in for the return flight either airside in SYD or landside before departing MEL.

However, I'm not sure you can do either of these.

JQ doesn't have a transfer desk at SYD T1? If not, then you're back to square one, otherwise you just might be able to do it (without a checked bag, of course).

In any case, your sanity may be questioned, perhaps not in a good way.

You would still have a lot more F lounge time, just not in the same lounge but on the same day, which was my point ;), I was assuming that a checkin for the return leg would not be possible in Melbourne knowing the service orientation of JQ

For this l'il black duck that would be a waste of F lounge time.;)

I actually much prefer to Flounge in the PM.

i.e. If I rated PM Floungeing as a 10/10 experience then AM Floungeing would rate 6/10 in comparison. :p

So for anyone who's interested, I'm on DJ 829 MEL-SYD departing at 0915. So if anyone would like to join me in the Lounge that would be lovely.

I'm on a Virgin flight, would love to catch up. But I don't get in until 11:30, I'd say you'll be settled into the JQ queue by then.... Next time.

Can we have a roll call please? Anyone got the patience to update the list?

And what about a mod changing the title to "FLounge Run 30 July"? Maybe we'll pick up one or two extras. :partayemoticon:

Lawless! That reminds me.

My secret santa last year gave me a box of blank Qantas BPs. (Don't ask...)

Do you want another Op-Up :P ? At least this time you'll have a boarding pass too.

I'm sure we can find some evil plan for them.

And it's LawLASS. LASS. Coz I'm a chick and was a lawyer and... doesn't matter
