Being told I'm not allowed to stand near a bulkhead/exit row, incase we need to suddenly evacuate. (We were at 35,000ft)

Yeah thought that was a little amusing... If we needed to suddenly use that exit, that exit wasn't going to help us much...
It was good to put some faces to names, also it'd be great to get the group photo that was taken at Mel T2 posted up...

The pic is on my camera.. I will post very soon...

It was great to catch up with everyone over the weekend. A fabulous day out.

Hope to see some of you soon in BNE :)

I think half of Sydney was at the rocks today grabbing a coffee or a million of them and sampling the pretty good food, glad I started early on the coffee front! Home tomorrow for a few days after a long two weeks on the road, wish I could finish all my trips with a weekend like this one!

JQ dom Syd check-in supervisor did say they could issue the BP for JQ35 but they did not have any of the orange D stickers. Did he get a BP issued by JQ dom in Syd with the orange D sticker? Only interested for future reference.
BP was issues by JQ T2 Dom counters, possible after having checked in online when purchasing the ticket, and D sticker supplied by QF First desk in T1 who were more than happy to oblige with a smile for a simple service request. Might have also been helped by stating I was "flying with a bunch of WPs" who said I should come here for the sticker.

Did you happen to catch Taezar who was also there? anat0l, Mal, JohnSyd2000, Bundy Bear, myself and an FT member in town were all at Harborside chowing down on a 1m long wildfires pizza (pic to come). Needless to say, it was one tasty pizza.

Sadly I missed Taezar :( . Sounds like a need to get over to Harborside next visit, looking forward to that photo!

OK everyone here is the pic! It's raw off the camera so the colour balance is still a bit off..

I've left space to name everyone, if you can PM me with your name and location: e.g. nlagalle front row 3 across.

I'll add them as i go.

Couldn't sit in your seats for such a short flight?

Nope. Apparently we couldn't stand near a door either, incase we suddenly needed to get out. Running away from the flight attendant everytime she walked past didn't seem to work.

But this is a rule on any flight and has been as long as I have been flying. No one should be congregating in exit row areas and why make the job of an FA more difficult by being childish.

I would expect a little more from frequent flyers and AFF members but it would appear that the alcohol consumed has affected people's ability to think. Anyway....

Indeed. We were the boganest bogans on the bogan flight. Be glad you didn't attend.

I just remembered I owe a huge thank you to trippin_the_rift for somehow knowing who I was and spotting me as I tried to find the rest of the AFF group amoungst the giant mob of people stuck at Sydney airport.

sounds like it was a great weekend....

Wish i could have attended.

Likewise thanks to LawLass for spotting me and other AFFers walking to the back of the massive queue outside the Customs entry as the D/Express entry was blocked off. She created a AFF Priority Boarding point for us AFFers to use. Well done LawLass.

Made it safely back to BNE safely around 2pm. Thanks to lawless for giving me somewhere to sleep and a huge thanks to mark for suggesting a great place to eat. The chilli prawn and crab stack was absolutely to die for.My shadow followed me all weekend, I was 3 for 3 on an empty middle seat, on both QF flights (exit rows!) and JQ35.

I beat you on the champagne front :p

Funnily enough, these items from a package were waiting for me when I got home. Shame I couldn’t have received them before the Do!

I’d also like to offer a big thanks to Lawlass for giving me somewhere soft and warm to sleep. Also to penegal for choosing an amazing restaurant. And I owe awilcockson $3 for the tram… next drinks :p
