Maybe penegal needs to have a BBQ for those that can't make the connecting flight in MEL ;)

Planning for said BBQ is in the works.

*She* moves out this weekend, and so then the renovations kick off in earnest, but I would like to have you over to the current Chateaux before I move to my new Chateaux.

Next weekend?

Any update on this, well more of a bump now that its less than 3 months away.

I never try and make plans 3 months in advance.

Famous last words, I made plans for flights 10 months away.

I found a Brisbane - Wellington Flight combination, now looking at options WLG-AKL-SYD-BNE I want that 789 and a visit to the new Air NZ lounge in Auckland.

Where is the best place to stay, no Hiltons what am I going to do with myself.

I could be up for this but it depends on work and how flights are looking much closer to the date. Is there a cutoff that you absolutely need definite numbers by?

I've stayed only at the Novotel and the Bolton, both were fine, Bolton is quite nice but sort of on the edge of the major downtown area and a bit of a hike from the restaurant where this is being held, Cuba Street, and Te Papa. Very close to the Beehive though, and the train station. I spent 6 nights there. Novotel has a good location, and a secondary entry on Lambton Quay closer to the major parts of downtown. Main entry is on The Terrace but there's a significant elevation difference if walking, so the hotel has entries available to staying customers on both which is a nice feature. I spent two nights there. The Intercontinental also looked quite nice, although I haven't stayed there.

I should add the 789 is a good ride too, at least up front anyway...little tight in the back...

Oh no! Won't be the same without you...

This event is fast approaching and we need people to start locking things in if they are going to attend. And why wouldn't you want to come have dinner with us?

I am definitely Bronze for this now , as I am now heading to Tokyo on the 18th Mar for 10 days .

Anyone with insider knowledge on when SQ's SIN - CBR - WLG - CBR - SIN service might start? Perhaps not in time for this..

The price has snuck up a little from when we first made enquiries. It is now NZ$105 for the degustation, and NZ$160 with matched wines.

Here is an example of their menu: Jano Bistro menu

Time to get serious and decide if you can come. I have updated post #2.
