While I remember, last year's dress code will be in force again: lounge suit/coughtail dress. Dress to impress!

I have these people currently listed as gold:
ANZ787900
windycityf
Straitman
Straitman+1
Welsh-Kiwi
Welsh-Kiwi+1

Can you please confirm if you are coming?

I think ANZ787900 was snubbing us and going to Queenstown but I check and get them to reply. ;):(
Straitman & Straitman + 1
are somewhere in the middle of the Pacific strangely heading to NZ on a cruise so are out of range, back in range after the 11 Feb.

I am now Platinum. Just booked my flights.
I'll be arriving on the same flight as Bundy Bear.

Really?

Announce an event, have people pay for flights and accommodation, then throw in retrospective random rules/conditions six months later?

Please count me out.

Really? All we're asking is that people don't turn up looking scruffy (not that they would anyway). Id have worn a dress either way.

What's the penalty if you don't adhere to the dress code? Will a bouncer deny you entry? :p

Also, just so you know there is a huge difference between "lounge suit / coughtail" and the QP Dress standards. (Perhaps I should have posted these images on that other thread).

You'll have to discuss that with JessicaTam :p

Maybe coughtail dress is too strong a word, but seriously, is it that hard to not turn up in jeans and sneakers? If you can make the effort to overseas for dinner, you can dress up :D

For the gents some nice slacks and a jacket, and for the ladies, well, the same really ;) - or a nice frock.

As blackcat20 has said, it would be nice for guests to make an effort. Providing a dress code of lounge suit or coughtail dress just helps to quantify that.

Lol Penegal in a coughtail dress I would like to see that

If I am only wearing slacks and a jacket I had better book in for a chest wax lol

Bummer. Hurricanes are playing in Palmy the night before. Would have liked to make the trip except I'm away on another continent. Go, Canes!

The good news is that you get to avoid going to Palmy :p:lol:

And go the Crusaders!

It will be an interesting year for both of us, TomVexille:
Crusaders - no Carter, Richie.
Hurricanes - no Conrad, Ma'a.
Maybe catch up with you at AAMI Park when the Hurricanes are in town on April 15th!
