Wendouree allocations and general discussion

I just came back from holiday last week and got the order form in the mail. Notice there's a red cayon on the form. What does it mean?

i suggest you send it back ASAP!i received my wine this morning, the more delay the lesser the chance.

It's a hierarchical ranking order preference. Have a read of this thread and you'll find there has already been extensive discussion of this. Red Crayon is the lowest ranking.

I’m on my first year and actually had no markings anywhere, so I’d suggest red may now be the second lowest!

My first year too! It will be good to know if and when the likes of us get billed this year - my letter did encourage patience for the first few years which I'm OK with.

I'm starting to think that I've been blackballed.

Credit card not even debited yet.
CellarTracker tells me I ordered (wine vintage quoted) and received on the following dates:
2013 03/07 27/07 (24d)
2014 08/07 08/08 (31d)
2015 05/07 27/07 (22d)
2016 29/06 17/07 (18d)
A little quicker this year but not dramatically

You don’t have to answer Dr Ralph but could there be some suspicion your Wendouree wines have formed part of your restaurant quid pro quo?

I don't see how. And in any case, I don't believe I did so.

They may not want to sell to someone who is on selling. That's their prerogative.

i can provide at least 5 different retailers that sells mix cases(1 of each) of wendouree at over $400 per case, and they have been doing it at least for the past 10 years. not even counting the people putting them in auctions. If wendouree really wanted to punish people selling them the retailers should of got hit hard first. perhaps i shouldn't use the word "retailers", online wine stores.

A mate and I have been doing our own test of sorts to see what results we get – both joined in 2016 and took a mixed dozen each of whatever they had left. 2017 both order forms had red crayon, I went down the path of a mixed dozen and he went with 6 shiraz, 3 cab sav, 3 cab malbec, 3 malbec and 3 shiraz Mataro. Both sent forms back straight away. I received my order within 2 weeks of sending the form back and he didn’t see a charge on his card for a further 6 weeks and ended up with only a mixed dozen from what he ordered. This year we both went with the same orders as last year and both mailed our forms on the same day (Friday 29 June). His order (full order) arrived on the 12th of July, my card has yet to be charged.

Looking increasingly like I've been blackballed. Credit card not debited yet. A friend who lives in the same city as me sent their order in a week after me and had their order of 25 cases delivered today.

No idea what I've done wrong. Two years ago I was in their good books, ordering 6 cases+, but that has dramatically changed.

25 cases? thats a lot of cab malbec!you might want to give them a call around end of the month.

Dr Ralph.

I suspect that you might be jumping the gun here....

I have not been debited either. Don't they usually take several weeks to get through all the orders?
