Re: Westpac Altitude 50,000 QFF points ($150 annual fee - waived for existing custome

Also any idea what "Enjoy up to four complimentary airport lounge visits each year - two with your rewards program" entails? This is pretty open ended. I got the Black Rewards so I could technically get it for VA/EY/EK/SQ/QF Intl correct?
No. 2 at the Amex lounge in SYD and either 2 QP passes or 2 visits through priority pass depending upon whether you choose QF points or Altitude points.

I am Rewards - already get priority pass with Amex, going to haggle for QF passes instead as we are flying JQ next month.

Good luck. Let us know how you go. As my comment above suggests, I am considering switching over temporarily to QF points in order to get the lounge passes.

Re: Westpac Altitude 50,000 QFF points ($150 annual fee - waived for existing custome

I think in the past people have purchased $20 points topups - any reason to think this will be different?
NFI - zero care - Cruiserette will use the $50 voucher - no need to buy pts when CC companies are throwing around bonuses like confetti.

Re: Westpac Altitude 50,000 QFF points ($150 annual fee - waived for existing custome

Any idea if a QF lounge voucher can be used for JQ?

Edit: Just got off the phone to Westpac. She haggled a bit and asked manager to get QF lounge passes as I explained I already have access to PP, AMEX and VA in addition to our huge spend with Westpac. She said they simply just can't do it as QF and all the other partners (in Rewards) are competitors and Qantas don't like that. She could switch me however. Going to signup with the ANZ QFF 75k promo anyhow so I'll let this one go. If anyone is travelling soon they can have my PP passes.

I hastily opened up a Reward Saver account in June and predictably applied for the Altitude the next day. I was stunned when I got the KB - it was my first rejection and like Cat Stevens crooned, that cut was the deepest. 3-months on, I'm thinking of having another crack but I'm still gun shy. Does anyone know if Westpac does manual assessments in a branch or by phone?

Any chance I can grab those PP? :D

Re: Westpac Altitude 50,000 QFF points ($150 annual fee - waived for existing custome

Just applied through a link off my westpac login ,self employed with approval subject to income verification in less than a minute.
Made a point of keeping monthly expenses less than $ 5000 (took the clue when the site prompted me "a re you sure" when entering more than that)

I second the question. Applied over the weekend and the application was referred. No calls, no emails, no payslip requests so far. Has anyone here had similar experience and how long was the wait?

Applied on Monday for this and also got the referred message for 2-3 days (heard nothing yet), I then did my wifes that evening and got instant approval. My wifes salary is very different to mine so no idea what they are basing their decisions on.

Considering giving them a call to see what on earth they are doing.

And just got the congratulations email.

Did you end up calling in the end?

I received sms and 2 emails today asking for payslips, emailed them, so my waiting game continues.

Update: received an approval email overnight, all good! What puzzled me was that the email was sent around 3am, strange timing.

Got a followup txt to ring with application number to qote.
They had a note to their account as my business has a good turnover but need to supply proof of personal income.
No problem anticipated

The email came in before I call them. Fingers crossed yours comes soon.

Re: Westpac Altitude 50,000 QFF points ($150 annual fee - waived for existing custome

Does anyone know whether it would be possible to get a second QFF account when signing up to this offer? They say complimentary QFF membership so if I was tell them I don't have a QFF account would they be able to get me one or would it be picked up somewhere that I already have an account?

Preempting the "why do you want another account" question by saying no specific reason. Just wondering that's all.

QFF does not allow more than one QFF account pp so if you were found out it would end ugly. Both accounts cancelled and all points/status forfeited.

Thanks. Will bear that in mind.

Do you know whether it would work though as per my actual question?

Also, has anyone received the bonus points as a customer who has held the same card in the previous 12 months?

I doubt anyone can answer the first question, if you really want to do it you probably have to take the plunge and see.

But why are you making this so complicated? If for whatever reason you want 2 QFF account, you might as well sign up for another one using a link that waives the joining fee rather than trying to mess around with creating a new QFF account via a credit card application. QFF accounts are created immediately so you can then link that new account with the credit card should you so desire.

Re: Westpac Altitude 50,000 QFF points ($150 annual fee - waived for existing custome

Applied and was approved this morning but will need to provide income details. Waiting for the email with the information.

$20 gets you how many pts?
