This is the deal for the Visa only without getting the Amex:
Special offer for a limited time
Enjoy 60,000 bonus Qantas or Altitude points when you spend $3,000 on eligible purchases on a new Altitude Platinum credit card within 90 days from card approval.^

$0 annual card fee for the first year (saving $150)+Offer ends 23rd October 2018. New cards only.

Altitude Platinum Rewards Credit Card | Westpac

Plus the $50 QF membership.
I'm on for this. Approved instantly.

Anyone know if you can get the same deal at a branch or it is only online?

(Easier for me to prove income from my smsf with a person, face to face.)

Well I applied and yes they wanted documents and Yes, I could do it at a branch.

Young bloke at my local branch called his contact and asked exactly what documents they wanted; gave him those and approved within a couple of hours.

Much easier than over the phone when you are not providing the standard "payslips".

Thanks! Just been conditionally approved for the Platinum Visa...

Applied 13/6/2018. Received card 18/6/2018. Good stuff from Westpac.

Signed up about 10 days ago and got an email today which said

"Before you can start earning Qantas Points on eligible purchases, you'll need to provide your Qantas Frequent Flyer number to us. Call 1300 859 100 to register your membership. "

Is this correct? Do I have to contact them to give them my QFF number even though it was provided during the application process?

That’s a generic email. They should already have it on file but it doesn’t hurt to double check.

Nice for those who have not yet applied. When I already have a card and they then sweeten the deal for new applicants I find it a little frustrating.

"Offer ends 12th September 2018. One application, two great Rewards cards."

How can it be one application (on your credit file) if there are two card issuers?
Or are they saying one application process (completing forms and whatnot)...

There are 2 credit enquiries, using the same data from one 'combined' application form.

Has there ever been a no annual fee deal (+ points) for Altitude Black? My partner got the platinum altitude 2 months ago and I purged all my ccards except for the Platinum Edge (I'm still thinking whether to renew or move to DJ's Amex next year).

For someone who applied recently for the Altitude Plat 60K sign on free first year, did you notice if the promo code was "WAAR6".

It was on the online application just under where we had to insert out QF FF number, in the section 'Card Options'.

Hoping something like that comes again soon. Trying to find a good deal with Amex Lounge + Qantas points and no annual fee. Patiently waiting..
