Westpac is capping rewards points monthly from June 17th 2013

But I think it works out to be a total of 4 Altitude points per $ at caltex, so 2 miles for SQ,MH,CX,VA. So works out to be the same per $ using my plat edge.. so no gain for me I suppose in using either one.

Edge can go to Starwood so I'd stick with that

Dosn't need a chip. The existing earth amex has a pin using swipe and pin.

If this is the case then I think its a no brainer for me to swap.

Alien, I can't find the details you provided in the link on the Westpac website, maybe I'm looking in the wrong area, or did you receive the details about the Altitude Black card in a direct email to you ?? Before I ring them for my invite I would like to know if it was targeted or you found the details on their website, in which case it should be avail to all current Altitude Platnium / Plus card holders. ??

I got my black altitude cards last week. Definitely fee free on premier advantage package for the westpac home loan. Now looking forward to the uncapped and $1 for 1.5 SQ,CX,MH,VA

I just hope they don't "enhance it"...

Not true. I just signed up for Earth Black. Previously only held Altitude Platinum Plus. Oddly enough my Altitude Black is yet to arrive.

They are not charging me an annual fee so can't say if they would have reduced fee for the two cards
