Westpac Singapore KrisFlyer Credit Card

Pretty sure $15000 = 10000 KF points with Asian call centers and poor customer support. I think I will keep away from Citi.

You are right. CitiReward is 1.5 = 1 KF. It took a while for me to get the info out of Citi Call Centre somewhere in God Forsaken Place.

For WP KF Plat holders out there, just need to let you all know that Double Points bonus with SIA purchases is only restricted to direct AUD transactions via SIA website. I made a mistake by paying "SGD" on Singaporeair.com.au (booking a J fare between SIN-PVG)... as a consequence no BONUS points. That's close to 6K points lost!!! I feel like crying.

I still have to wonder how SIA Ticketing price worked... It is cheaper for me to buy J return between MEL-SIN-HND AND buy another J return fare between SIN-PVG than direct MEL-SIN-PVG return!! I save AUD2k by doing a side trip to HND.... how does it work!? (Note: Early bird fare in Nov promotion.)

While I am not enamoured of the changes and put aside the letter from WBC in disgust it seems in retrospect the voucher with it is actually better than the previous, i.e.

discount is 50% of 25K per person thought it was just 25K before?
validity seems to be until 31/12 (presume this is to use the voucher not just to book but don't have the voucher in front of me)

Guess I will just have to take advantage of this one last benefit to the max.

Damn right - I just checked MEL-SIN for 1 pax then 2 pax - yes it does give 25,000 discount for 2 pax - hope this not just an aberration.

I'm not home at the moment so can't check but can the voucher be used to upgrade from economy to business? Have about 50,000 points that I want to use!

My understanding is YES - purchase Y first then use voucher to upgrade.

Where can you check / see on the KF website that your account has the voucher available for use?

I have received the letter advising of the changes and that I would be issues with the voucher 'already'. Perhaps I threw it in the bin without realising it? but have already read people can 'see' the voucher on the KF site.

Log into SQ web site - click redeem miles - you should see a drop down box with 'Select Promotion Code' - click that - if Westpac Platinum is there - voila you are on your way.

Just had a look at my account and the promotion box is no longer there

I believe that the disappear with the conditions of the coupons ie the original coupons had 31 Dec expiry. These new vouchers will stay presumably until 31 dec11.

I have looked all over the KF site and cannot see anywhere for a drop-down box described. I did a flight using miles just before Christmas but don't recall seeing the box available there either. Checked my account statement and it has defiantly used miles I had obtained normally.

So I called up the Westpac/KF plat line and was told that the voucher would come with my anniversary statement. Even though the letter i received claiming I should have already received it, she went and double checked and confirmed that it won't come until then (August)

For some reason I don't think it will come in August and I'll miss out completely.

What you were told was incorrect. If August 2011 is your 2nd anniversary and you received a voucher in August 2010, I don't think you'll receive another one. If you only obtained the card in August 2010, you should have received a voucher in December 2010 or this month, valid until the end of this year. No further vouchers will be issued after this month.

Stupid question time:

I've done a redemption booking. Will I earn miles?

Understood.

The $380 in tax and surcharges that are charged to my Westpac Krisflyer AMEX, how many miles will I get for that? Zero miles also?

Or $380 x 1.5 plus $380 x 2 (bonus miles) = 1330 miles?

Can points still be earned through paying a bpay bill on the postbillpay website?

Does this work for any bpay transaction?
I'm thinking of buying some gold from perth mint and paying via bpay, they won't accept CC payments

Post Billpay is a different billpay method to BPay. Post Billpay transactions will earn points as normal: on billers that support Post Billpay. BPay transactions are different and do not earn points.
