Just by way of update, mine processed on 29th of May and credited the same day.

There was a hiccup at some time int he past where I scored double miles one month....that was corrected bout 3 months later.

June statement as at the 2nd and the points went through within 24 hours. Still nothing from May as yet, so another call is on the cards today to prod them into action. (CitiBank points turned up about 2 weeks late).

Just cancelled - $250 annual fee levied on June 4 - yesterday June 5 I paid out card balance in full incl annual fee - called today and cancelled - CSO asked why? - I explained that warehousing pts in Altitude much better for me than direct monthly sweep to KF - CSO then refunded ann fee $250 and transferred that credit across to Black Card - CSO also asked did I want credit limit on WSQ card to be transferred across to Black - err OK - so now I have $110K limit on Black - go figure.

My missing points went through last night. I did call them a few days back and they responded that it could take 6 weeks.

In regards to the travel insurance, in their T&Cs it states "who by use of the cardholder’s eligible credit card account, paid for in full the cost of their return overseas travel tickets",.

I'm planning on using the card to pay for my SYD-SIN-DXB-SIN-SYD flights from SQ/KrisFlyer and then use my 28D charge to pay for my internal Europe flights with and other accommodation.

If I do this will the whole holiday including all flights and etc be covered by insurance?

Honey - I'm home............................

Re-applied and warmly welcomed back into the family - hopefully pts earn structure here does not change going forward.

Platinum Kris Flyer has been a winner and we are both still there even though the earn was directly credited to our accounts. With about 7 weeks left I am filling the Westpac Black Altitude card as a priority to see if we can string out the benefits for more than the 3 plus 1 years.
Welcome back Cruiser! Co -branded cards need each of the brands to agree to changes so changes can be slow.
By the way are you in Melbourne for the Grand Final as I owe you dinner?

YES Westpac Black will indeed be getting a workout next coupla mths - but I was intending to use Black card for warehousing. Now leaves me with only Select to warehouse - and we have seen how frought with danger warehousing in Citi can be.

Yes will be in MEL for GF - have not secured tix as yet but am intending to be there - will keep you informed.

FWIW we ate Gallagher's in NY last night - Welcome | Gallaghers Steakhouse in NYC - 21yrs and 6mths since we first ate here - just a wonderful experience - so historic - such quality - but they don't miss the target when it comes to pricing - and + suggested gratuities of bw 15 & 20% - but overall meal no better than what you and I shared last year post GF at The Olive Tree at <1/2 the price.

We go to Flemings as we get the Costco gift cards at $79.99 for $100 face value to neutralize the tip. Have been to their Salt Lake,Beverley Hills and El Segundo locations and the New York steak is a winner.
Enjoy NYC with all the shows and views. A most amazing city to go to when you are not working.

pardon my ignorance but has anything changed with the krisflyer card to make it better than the altitude black?

To think this was the first points earning card I received all those years ago (not that many!)... and then redeemed for an economy flight!

Wow times have changed!

Hummel remember when it was launched? 3KFpts/$1 spend? OMG did we ever give it a workout in that 3mth period!

Ahh those were the days!
And dont forget when they first started they had a signon bonus and an annual redemption voucher, up to 25K points off I think and there was a bug where this was per passenger so I booked 4 flights to Asia and my wife booked 4 flights back so 4*25K twice = 200K points discount. All adds up!

The things you learn after the fact! :) I do remember redeeming the voucher though and it was around this time of year as I used it to go see the Singapore Grand Prix!
