I think from a directors' point of view (I see it here where I work, large hotel) that the refund sort of turns into a new regular bill they have to pay and can only clear when the cash flow is good enough. Just tough times at the moment, would not like to be in their shoes since the onset of COVID.What cheeses me off is how payments from credit cards are instantaneous but refunds can take weeks and sometimes months.
It's almost like the business doesn't want to return the funds?
