What cheeses me off

WCMO re surveys is that, when you ignore the e-mail, they come back once or twice with something like "Your last chance to write a review!"

At that point, I do fill in the survey, giving them a 4/10 and if there are freeform comments allowed, I write "Stop pestering me with surveys".

Also CMO is when, if I do a genuine response, giving a poor rating, it will often "fail to load" or "a problem with your response" and then disappear.

Rental companies that don't release the pending charges when posting their final charge thereby reducing available funds by $1500. Avis and Budget, I hate you.

Yep it can really add up fast if using a low limit cred card or debit Mastercard

2 x car rentals and 5 hotel check-ins and you can have $5000 or more in pre-authorisations

We had to use same card? Should have used a credit card.
Oh, yeah. Never use a debit card picking up a rental or checking into a hotel! It’s bad enough they hold the authorisation after the final charge on CCs! That just hammers your available balance but taking your actual cash is never good…

Agree. IMHO one should never use debit cards anyway since if fraud it’s much harder to get your money back. With credit cards, the thief actually has the bank’s money, not yours. With Avis, we’ve used different cards in the past?
Well, I've been pestering ING. They can see the reversal. But won't clear it as the secondary card was used and MrP has to call them. Which is absolute BS. It's irrelevant to the card. Weekdays Sydney time. It's Saturday. They are closed. And Sunday. And Monday PH. So no money available until Tuesday, at earliest. I've sent them a message telling them that as they are now refusing access to my cash whilst overseas leaving us with no cash (we do have options but that isn't the point) then I will be contacting the Ombdusman immediately.

People that come and stay and do their washing and leave the pegs on the line when they remove their washing - WTF 😭

😂

We use stainless steel pegs and they always stay on the line, never brought in. Saves time and angst.
