What cheeses me off

We do the majority of our groceries at the Kingston SupaBarn - Canberra people might know it- great selection of fruit, veg and deli stuff. Run of the mill grocery items, a bit less choice so if I want something specific I go to WW over the weekend to pick it up.

At my local fruit and veg they have frozen berries and no country of origin just an address in Lonsdale and for those of you who know Adelaide they certainly don't grow berries down there. It's very industrial.

I thought not having the country of origin of food was illegal. The girls had no effing idea

I expected better from that store given their reputation.

Failure Wtf GIF by StickerGiant

I've done a lot of walking around this area the past 4 years. I have never seen any cars parked in driveways of apartment building.

Except for our driveway. 16 units in 2 buildings share a driveway and common areas. 3-4 cars continuously park in the driveway and occasionally they park either side leaving a narrow gap to drive through. I've lost count of the number of complaints Ive sent to agent. They don't deal with the strata manager who manages the other building so have not done anything about it.

Then we have the clowns who park their cars in front of their garage, perpendicular. The one across from me does it often.

I said to wife I will get in first and park in driveway or when the one across from me parks there I will also take my car out and park there so no one gets through. Wife says don't be silly. Don't provoke them.

Provoke them? Nowhere else do they get away with this stupidity. Where can I go next? Rental board? Strata board?

Do these inconsiderate people actually stop you from going in and out of your garage/unit?

For QLD.
if yes and

- you rent you can talk to the Residential Tenancies Authority re a dispute that your agent is in breach of the lease. they will attempt to mediate and if not resolved the matter can be taken to QCAT.

- you own the unit you could contact the Office of the commissioner for Body Corporate and Community Management (BCCM office).

if the parking does not stop your access but just annoys you there is not much you can do.
There might be something in the scheme bylaws about parking.

Thanks. I doesn't just annoy me. Parking on one side of driveway is dangerous. Parking on both sides is just plain stupid. We are on a busy road and we can only turn left into the driveway. Cars are usually parked exactly in the natural path one takes when turning into the driveway.

Everyone here has a garage. If you need more than 1 space then this is not the building for you.

WCMO is amenity kits that have moved to a little tube of lip balm. Bring back the wind up sticks!

TK and MK are both tubes now, BA is, AA is, QR is (can't remember if they were still the little dish or tube on my recent flight). The last time I got a proper one would have been ET, a year ago. Might be flying them again in a month or so, so guess I can check then.

WCMO - HOTEL BEDDING... why can't they just use normal sheets, why is the doona tucked into the mattress but the sheet only just reaches the end, why WHY!

Prefer it when hotels put the doona in an actual doona cover. Putting it between 2 sheets is rarely successful, I don't want to make contact with doona, who knows how long since it was cleaned.

This practice really CMO!
And is common as it is quicker and easier for housemaids to make up the bed. It annoys me intensely but can see why they do it. It is such a joy to find a hotel where there is an actual doona cover.
Which on the sort of topic, WCMO are hotels where the doona makes it far too hot to sleep (as the aircon does not go low enough).

This one REALLY cheesed me off ....

1. On a weekend, when in transit, trying to book a particular flight and getting distracted by a phone call from work - got pulled in to a meeting for something that was admittedly important and then *totally* forgetting to book that particular flight ... Then out of the blue suddenly remembered to book, go to QF website, fares are now Flex only, do the booking. Happy that I got a seat, but not happy that I had to pay $$$ extra

2. Then on the day of the flight, got called in for an urgent work that is not avoidable - missing the flight altogether :(

The flight in question is the first commercial service of QF A220s :( ex-CBR!

WCMO

Booked tickets months ago for a 2hr concert I wanted to see.

When I booked tickets the FOH operative suggested we arrive early on the night because seat numbers weren't allocated and first in best dressed.

Turned up at 7:30 for 8pm performance. Entered auditorium to find no seating at all, just open floor space (other than for disabled).

Then find out performance doesn’t actually start until 9:20 and finishes at 10. Some unknown band never heard of starting at 8pm.

This 70+ yo and relatives who travelled to come with not prepared to stand for 2:30hrs and went complain and get the “yeah lots people complaining, told they were misled, nothing we can do, maybe you would like to send a comment to the feedback email”.

send a comment to the feedback email
To which there won't be a reply OR the template response "sorry we did not meet your expectations blah blah, we apologize for the inconvenience. This is not the experience we want our esteemed guests to have. Your feedback has been passed on to the relevant team. We thank you once again for bringing this to our attention. We look forward to seeing you again soon"
