What cheeses me off

WCMO is the car sales rep trying to get you to sign handover/acceptance docs when they haven't actually given you the items you're meant to be saying you've received. Had to push back 3 times before he got the hint. Why would I sign saying I'm accepting the delivery when I hadn't even physically been given the keys, the V5C, been shown the car etc.?

WP behaviour in row 4 today, arguing with FA about laptop storage for landing. “Never heard about that requirement before” “Why can’t I”. Just shut up, listen and follow the rules and give the FAs a decent day at work.

Similar when I ordered cash from Travelex. They wanted me to sign I’d received various notes before they’d counted them in front of me and they were still in the original packet.

WCMO when I realised I am obviously a boomer who is being repeatedly annoyed about the same things
I truly need to find some courses that actually are for tech savvy seniors
Mind you glad to see that city of Sydney library is finally having various technology classes for 16+ (no upper age limit)
Really want to try 3D printing

Ooohhh my goodness. The response from my local library was "use YouTube to learn to more "
Since when does a library just do a vague YouTube recommendation???

Same when I put my car in for service. Shown tablet, please sign here.

What am I signing for?
Just that we've taken delivery of the car
It says I'm accepting terms and conditions. Where are they?
Its only that we are taking delivery of the car
Can I see the T&Cs please?

She goes off in a huff, then brings out the T&Cs printed on a little sheet of paper. Obviously not/never loaded onto the tablet. And obviously a lot more than "taking delivery"!

I read, I sign.

We go through this more times than not when I go in.

My experience with the Council of the City of Sydney is that SOP is if an enquiry can be someone else's problem, then make it go away by suggesting some other person must deal with it, or if the answer should be available "on-line" somewhere, then direct them to the internet !!

Thankfully not my council lol. However I do like their libraries and facilities.

I am city of Sydney.
I find them very responsive and helpful.
so much better than service family and friends get in Randwick or Woolahra or Waverley or Inner West Councils

WCMO is having to burn more fuel because I need to use the car AC to demist the windscreen, even though climatically without the AC is perfectly fine.

Guess I shouldn't be so annoyed - no one should drive through a misty/foggy windscreen.

I drove through darkness, pouring rain and rolling fog from Hampshire back to Surrey last night, on windy narrow country roads when I departed. Now that was fun, not!

And I find it scary that some are closing

University of Tas does it well. First they bring in all Departmental Libraries (except Law) into the central, Morris Miller Library. Then they simply start getting rid of books. MML has 5 floors, plus offices in the basement. Books now occupy just one (1) floor; another 1/2 floor has archival collections, journals and rare books.

The rest? Student Admin has one floor, the others you can study, have your lunch, have a snooze, whatever you like. Just don't expect access to a book.

Holy geeze that doesn't sound fun at all. Think I'd be driving at a snail's pace.

Reminds us of our trip back from Heswall last Decembet. Flooding, windy, one lane country roads in UK are the pits. But then you get to the motorways and they are so busy don't move. Add in roadworks. Accidents. Just pleased we weren't flying out that day.

Here's another reason to hate me.

Had Endoscopy this morning. Woke up 9:30am and effects of anaesthetic fully worn off by 10:00am. Sitting here over 4:00 hours waiting for wife to finish work and catch a bus home then Uber to hospital and Uber back home when all that was needed was Uber for me home.

I know, I know. I don't care. They made me promise not to work or drive a car for 24 hours. LOL.

The M25 and M3 were beautiful in both directions, a rare moment that I will happily accept!

Reminds me when I'd drive up the A3 and through the twisties at the Devil's Punchbowl (I think that is the name) just before Guildford. Fun with the mist. I think there is a tunnel under that hill now?

Anyone try to convince me someone is not watching?

Woke up this morning, saw that I had a decent winner last night and checked Sportsbet but balance does not reflect the winner. Checked and there's the winner in my betslip waiting to be confirmed. I was extremely tired last night and must have fallen asleep not completing the last bet of the night. I know that because all the losing bets were completed.

Truly unbelievable the number of winners I miss from errors. Has to be 75-80% if not more. A few days earlier 4 tipsters tipped same horse, ran close to last but I didn't miss backing the horse 4 times, once for each tipster.

One day all will be revealed in this simulation.
