What cheeses me off

Talking of speaking loudly, when I see someone walking toward me in shopping centre, footpath etc., engrossed in the phone and not caring about anyone around them, I wait until they are about 1,5m away and then call out "look out!"
It's a worldwide issue. Just wish I had a barrier around me and could simply keep walking.

It's termed "Zombie Walking" - ISTR first coming across it in a post on AFF, but can't find it.

Today I am cheesed off with the Japanese. First they have a distinct lack of spatial awareness so they don't have to be on the phone to walk into you or cut across you.
But worse it appears that many have lost the ability to read Japanese. A couple of days being nearly taken out by them going straight through a stop sign. Ignoring the signs saying please keep left even if their are arrows pointing to which side you are walking.
Ignoring signs such as keep out of the gardens.
and young people rushing to get a seat on the train even when elderly Japanese folk are standing.
They are joining the rest of the world. Japanese culture is at risk.

Lawyers. I know they have to cover all issues but still.

Due to change in family circumstances, we are changing our wills slightly. We are heading towards 70 and have two adult children one of whom lives in UK, and the other in SA and who has two tiny grandchildren. The two sons are the main beneficiaries. Sadly wills have to cover death of beneficiaries so we have listed the two grand kiddies as beneficiaries if I guess, either son (or both 🥹) pre decease us. Thats pretty normal as far as wills go. Ok. Got that clear. But nup. Lawyer then asks, so if our two sons and our two tiny grandchildren predecease us, why do we do with the estate then. WT? I didn't say what I wanted to say like F the world or similar but simply said no, we won't go there.

That's the standard approach. If all else fails nominate a charity or charities. A thorough lawyer intends to produce a workable document in all circumstances, unless instructed specifically not to. Not including it could lead to the Government taking the lot if there are no beneficiaries. Hence the precautionary inclusion.

Yes I understand but at what point does a lawyer feel it's 'safe' to stop drilling down? We are talking of several deaths here of people up to 60 years younger than us and living in different countries in different households. There's workable and then there's absurd. While we are discussing our wills and all the issues surrounds that then everyone has a limit.

When the one possible outcome that is not covered happens, the first reaction is to blame the lawyer who did not foresee it or allow for it, so they say - negligence - let's sue. You can say enough is enough at any point but the lawyer still has an obligation to explain why it is recommended you go further. The lawyer then keeps file notes of the conversation.

Well, we will all be dead should all that come to pass so who gets to sue?

Buying a child's toy yesterday from Amazon not realising the big Prime sale starting today and that toy was included and now $19 cheaper.
They'll usually credit the difference back, or they'll cancel/refund the original order and then send again for you.

Yes, I tried to cancel but couldn't. It's on its way. Will be a matter of sending it back but thinking with return postage - its a larger package, it might cost a bit. Sent a pair of Qantas pjs off the other day and they are light but it cost me $12. And slow delivery.

Can't you just reject the delivery? Don't Amazon have free returns in Aus like they do elsewhere (UK, US)?

I could but we live in an apartment block and Amazon deliveries are tricky so we redirect to a post collection box.
