Frankly, I'm surprised the cat didn't go after the Smeg oven instead!Speaking of cooking, it appears that one of the cats has decided that sandwiches presses are not his thing. That (melted) cheeses me off.

Re:11 Smoking in Europe everywhere

My annual rant. Tour de France starts at 9.30pm. At 9.40pm we are switched to the damn cooking segment.
5 beats 4 every time!Re:1
Tonight I got my own back
Found myself seated next to a man who I had seen smoking in our small seated (and strictly -supposedly- nonsmoking section) at the Lenny Kravitz concert.
So tonight at Raye concert, when he lit up as soon as he sat down I advised (in French) this is a non-smoking section. Please do not smoke
To which he said (angrily)
‘You are American - I am French I do what I like’
Then I said:
‘American??!!’
‘This is the non-smoking section’
He said:
‘You are wrong — you can smoke here. I have been to Montreux four times and always smoked!!!!’
I said:
‘This IS NON SMOKING
I have been to Montreux 5x (irrelevant).’
I then motioned for security to come across
He then said - ‘its OK please don’t … I will stop just for you… no need to get anyone over…just for you ‘
..just for me - FFS
I’m not into food much these days. Last night the scenery was spectacular with mountains and valleys and lakes. Didn’t want to see food. I’d eaten not long ago.I've been meaning to try, but haven't - does the app coverage switch to the cooking, or just keep on the race? Love checking on the map during the race to see when an interesting bit (climb) is coming up. Also to get the hour of highlights from the previous day.
But I like the cooking ... all that sugeurrrrrr and butteurrrrrrr and cream. What's not to like?
Go youRe:1

We saw the finale in Paris a few years ago. It rained so hard though that for safety they skipped the last leg. Oh well. We were on the bridge though as the airforce flew over with the tri colour smoke pouring out which was spectacular.I love the Tour de France and even saw two legs a few years ago. Great atmosphere!
I also love the beautiful countryside and chateaus and the food and the butter!!
Sure it's not related to the current IT outage which seems massive. 28 Degrees may have been caught up in it.I just booked hotel for 26-29 Dec in Pattaya with Booking.com! Nothing to pay until 23 Dec and either pay in THB or for $2.50 more pay in AUD.
Chose 28 Degrees. Send me confirmation SMS for 0 THB and entered 6 digits and Booking informs credit card not valid and to use another form of payment.
The 28 degrees card has just gone over the limit and they've rejected a 0 THB that is Dur on 23 Dec! Or FFS. Use Virgin Money instead.
Not sure. Virgin Money went through without issue.Sure it's not related to the current IT outage which seems massive. 28 Degrees may have been caught up in it.
WCMO is work computer suddenly rebooting without warning due to above and now been in an endless loop for past 3 hours where windows refuses to load.Sure it's not related to the current IT outage which seems massive.
Not all banks are impacted. NAB seems fine but ANZ and CBA having issues. Not sure. Virgin Money went through without issue.
3pm Friday is a bad time for stuff like this to happen. I was watching Foxtel and it went out at 3pm (sa time). Its impacting so many airlines around the world now.WCMO is work computer suddenly rebooting without warning due to above and now been in an endless loop for past 3 hours where windows refuses to load.
Had permission to WFH all of next week but without a useable laptop (and i cant connect via this personal laptop, as only work assets can connect to the work network) this isnt possible. I am imagining joining a queue of 100s of staff at IT help desk on Monday waiting for them to rebuild laptops.
Is that why this isn't working then? Not all banks are impacted. NAB seems fine but ANZ and CBA having issues.

That explains why work laptop rebooted. I went to get daughter at 3:05pm and when I got back again 4:00pm the laptop had rebooted.WCMO is work computer suddenly rebooting without warning due to above and now been in an endless loop for past 3 hours where windows refuses to load.
