What cheeses me off

Hotel websites that dont show pictures of the bathrooms so you can rule out any room with a shub.
I agree. But the photos are often not real anyway.

ps: what’s a shub?

ah, shower above bath. MrsDrRon would not be impressed.

Terrible things and a wasted space for a bath for the English.

Try the side/back of the TV.

Tried it and didn’t work, but thank you for suggestion. Might be the TV brand.

a quick walk down the street should find you a convenience store?

I have so many here, I didn’t want to buy any more, I also have power packs I could have taken, slow learner, sigh!

There are various USB standards & various types of port … it’s not likely many TV makers would be putting a version of the ports, which are intended primarily for plugging-in drives so the TV can play the content, that have the high current output needed to charge something. But was still worth a try IMHO. If the TV has multiple USB slots and one has a little lightning-bolt symbol next to it, that’s likely got the higher power output capability.

We don't have aircon in Brisbane and I have a small tower fan that I use when I'm working.

Someone gave us a tower fan they did not need and it was sitting in the garage for months without use. One day we decided to put it out on footpath to find a good home.

Now my tower fan has started to make loud noises to the point where daughter cannot sleep in bedroom and I need to waste money buying a new tower fan.

Don't throw things out that are not broken. They'll be useful one day.

Get the bladelesd Samsung oblong one.
My parents have that and its easier to sleep with as there is not the motor noise of the old fashioned tripod or 4 legged fan.
Dehumidifyer too can be helpful, I like BNE but find it can be too humid.
ADL tends most nights to be hot and very dry, ie most nights are non sweaty.

Thanks @AustraliaPoochie. I can see lots of bladeless cooling fans for $200-$300 up. Expensive. That's another thing that cheeses me off.

I'll look for something cheap as most things are not coming with us to Sydney when we move back.

What cheeses me off is the bank ringing me to reduce the interest rate by 0.5% on one loan but not on the others. The one they reduced the loan only had 5 figures owing but the all others has 6 figures. The bank wants me to think they are being nice. 😡. They even sent me a feedback request.🤣

Or the one time donation that results in frequent mail requesting more donations at a cost immensely larger than your original donation. Haven’t been able to get of the mailing list for 3 years despite phone calls and ‘return to sender’ on numerous letters.
