What cheeses me off

Speaking of Karens on the road.....What REALLY cheesed me off a few days ago was a car wanting to turn right into a very busy road.
No harm in that, but when you are waiting to turn right for over 10 min, with no hope in hell because of traffic both ways, the logical thing to do is turn left, then do a right turn into side street, turn around, and go on your merry way.
There were heaps of cars behind her banked up - beeping their horns, fingers out pointing to turn left - all we got from Karen was the 1 finger salute.
In the end, I gave up, did a U turn, turned around, and found another way.
Funny thing is, when I drove past that same street from main road, Karen was still there.
For those in Melbourne, it was Warrigal Rd, Oakleigh

Give way sign at my end only. However when I crossed the bridge Karen was not yet at the other side. She decided that even when I had nearly crossed over as soon as she arrived at the bridge she still had right of way.
Bad karma eventually catches up with those who deserve it…theres a special sauce for the Karens

Did you wave your middle finger at her as you passed by? I have no idea why people try to do this. I go out of my way to avoid such situations. And get cross with google maps when it wants me to turn right onto a known busy road.

Another one. These huge mega truck things that people drive nowadays. Waiting to turn left, then up comes one of these monsters, wanting to turn right, pulls up directly in line with me so I cant see a thing. They know I will be able to move before they can due to traffic on the other side, but there they plonk their monster truck.

Solely to be sure that you are aware they have disrespected you.

Oh but that’s the entire reason people get dual-cabs in the first place, to have a larger car than everyone else; due to either their insecurity while driving, or their need to bully as many others as possible.

⬆️ This! And in Canberra, it happens a lot at roundabouts too. You literally cannot see when it is safe to enter the roundabout. And cars waiting behind you can get pretty agitated quite quickly as they fail to appreciate that you cannot see.

yes so does mine. The camera can connect to a wifi hotspot and The phone can connect to the camera Wifi hotspot. You need to disconnect the phone from the camera so phone can access the internet. You can’t have both at the same time.

European cars have their own hotspot these days do you can connect the camera to the car hotspot then use your phone to connect to the internet then the camera. Very unfortunately, many Australian importers are too stingy to provide the car with an internet capable SIM card.
Yes. I understand that. The problem is that phone will not access the videos on the camera when connected to the camera wifi. I'm not trying to access the internet using the camera wifi (seriously is anyone that dumb?), I'm trying to access the videos on the dashcam.

It used to work and then stopped after a phone update, perhaps coincidentally, also when the phone started telling me the wifi was not connected to the internet.

My camera cannot connect to wifi hotspot. The options are use camera wifi to to download from camera using camera wifi, remove the memory card, or plug the camera directly into a computer.

Maybe reset the camera? Maybe remove the wifi connection from the phone and reset and reconnect?

We both escaped it for 2.5 years and then developed it overseas. Kind of confirms why borders needed to close.

Avoided it for years but caught it in Edinburgh last October. Very mild case fortunately. No isolating required. Had latest booster on Wednesday (pfizer).
Edinburgh for us too! 😂. Edinburgh Gin Tasting. We had booked that fab steakhouse you recommended but we decided we should cancel.

Same here (so 5 in all) and flu shot, we leave for Frankfurt via Bangkok and Muscat on the 15th. Think I’ll wear a mask on planes.
You’d need to be sure said mask was one of the very-protecty ones, the common ones protect others from you but don’t do much to protect you from others.

3 years and 1 month since we returned from Thailand. No covid yet and hope it stays that way. I don't need to find out.

Interesting I've not worn a mask this week in Pattaya but heading up to village tomorrow and will make sure I wear a mask there. Fingers crossed.
