The Tommy Guns in CBR (or any other TG I have been to) city offers a free bevvie with a cut or shave.
It is in fact Tommy Guns that I go to.

I think they all serve beer.

Never actually thought of putting it on the back window . Though I do have to say I am one of those annoying drivers who reverses in a spot.
I never understood people who live on a dangerous road and drive into their driveway in the afternoon/evening and then try to reverse out of their driveway in the morning in peak hour traffic. Silly and obviously very little thought put into it. If you've been stung once then you'd never do it again that way right.

Very rarely do I drive into a parking space at a shopping centre. Reverse in and then drive eat with ease and no stress.

So NZ has it to be hung at back
But on the topic of what cheeses me off
NSW government huh ????
It just says the left side so on the side window ?

…we regret to inform you that your bags were not loaded onto your flight and have been located in Frankfurt.

(now, I did connect in FRA so that’s quite reasonable).

The family Scarlett left for a holiday and checked in four bags. On arrival back home we had one. We will be waiting for two separate couriers to deliver our bags courtesy of two seperate (but sibling) airlines.

🧀

Hope the couriers will treat those well travelled bags very well, and you will them well intack.
Horror stories abound of lost bags not turning up, or half destroyed, or with things missing.

But is it only the horror stories that we hear?
Yeah my better-half had the same problem with her bags 3-4 times during her 5-ish Platinum Years up to about 2018, and they always turned up safely. Not a large sample, true.

Have to say I loved when one of our bags Went astray. It was the heaviest and the biggest. We came from London to back home. "Sorry don't have your bag " "we will courier when we find it " I think it was back with us (dirty clothes and all lol ) within 48 hours to our front door.
It was so nice to not have to lug onto the bus . That was our only gone astray. Yes I have probably jinxed us now lol

I'm with you @mrsterryn.
QF94 LAX-MEL with connecting domestic back to SYD. 2pax
It did a splash and dash in SYD to refuel
Taking advantage of the situation we and other SYD bound pax were let off
The CSM said the bags will follow later.
I didn't bat an eyelid and said that is no problem.

QF94 was a classic reward as I could not get QF12 LAX-SYD (A380)
Original routing status credit and refund of MEL-SYD revenue sector.
No transferring to DOM at MEL
Got home a lot earlier
No waiting at carousel
No lugging the bags across the terminal and waiting for maxi taxi at SYD
Large bags and oversized bags arrived the next day - home delivered. Might have been about 6x30kg or similar

Don’t be cheesed … you can’t use Murphy’s Law to your own advantage, it’s an immutable law of reality & if anyone managed it we’d be witness to the end of our universe!

you can’t use Murphy’s Law to your own advantage
👍. It really cheeses me off that I cant
The problem now is that QF94 is a 787-9 which has longer legs than the A380
Still I'm hopeful that Fog besets MEL and the flight will still splash and dash in SYD👍

If only QF is not so tight with its classic rewards on the QF12, there would be no need to rely on Murphy on the QF94

I use Murphy's law the way it's intended and never to my advantage.

If that ever changes then I would say that's the end of this simulation. It cannot be the end of the universe as that is infinite.

What is cheesed me off today Is York Minster. You buy a ticket in advance for a particular 15 minute timeslot ton enter.

Mine was for tomorrow morning at 9 am but I arrived early in York so walked up and asked: can I use my ticket for tomorrow, today? They said no, you have to buy new ticket. So I asked: so there’s no capacity constraints, you just want me to pay again? Answer was yes.

There will be a comment in their visitors book tomorrow.

The USA is about to ramp up its passenger protection regime as well:

Imagine the push back that Qantas would mount, calling in all its favours from the Chairman's Lounge member politicians, and putting pressure on the media that it advertises with. Look how they are treating the AFR today because AJ will not tolerate criticism.
