What cheeses me off

OK. Which AFFer also is known as Meryl Love? 😉. My type of FA!
"Cabin crew have a term for these kinds of passengers – the Mary and Josephs; parents who act like they were the very first people on the planet to have children."

Doesn't she mean Adam and Eve? From what I've read, Mary and Joseph did not have a sense of entitlement or carry excessive luggage.

This bs headline from Daily Mail... Not exactly a source of journalistic integrity in any case but this one gave me a chuckle. They even mention Changi winning best airport in the world in the article but somehow stretch Australia-Pacific to Asia-Pacific for the headline.

Another good one was that fine social media page Boss Hunting commenting on the same awards with this quote 'Considering Seattle-Tacoma was ranked as the 53rd best airport in the world in 2021 before jumping up to the 27th slot in 2022, the Washington State airport is on an impressive run. Yet, it’s hard to piece together just why.'
It's not hard to see why though if you actually used SeaTac, it's come leaps and bounds with renovations and additions over the last 5 years, something no major Aussie airport has managed.

sorry late to the party on the supermarkets. My gripe is the way the young kids pack my shopping in the bags.
Most aggravating recent example putting a 3 kg pork roast on top of a box of shapes... Thanks breaking them into millions of pieces will make them last longer.
But also the Bags are rectangular, shopping items are rectangular. WHY TF put the long axis of one perpendicular to the long axis of the other.
I've got 25 shopping bags, you don't need to jam a full shopping trolley into 4 bags! USE ANOTHER ONE!

Did you get them for free then?
Has only ever been the first item for free

Knew someone years ago, who would buy multiple single items when they found a scanning error. As in Buy 1, leave shop, go back in, buy another 1... repeat

I thought there was something in place but wasn't sure today. And I've also read that the seller simply states that they can remove the product from Sale or something.
They cannot remove a sale once you've attempted to purchase. that's called bait and switch
Not at all. In our street the local school fills the street by 7;30 am so nowhere for builders to park or deliver building materials.
Got an inlaw who calls these people "Greedy mums"
Don’t use self checkout - line up and give a kid a job 👍
Disagree, self check out used to be great a few years back when I was wanting to pay for my purchase 5 cents at a time. Self checkout is great when I'm gaming the system. ;)

I would never use self check out where I had more than about 10 items. Super surprised anyone is using self check out with 3 or 4 bags of purchases.

People who touch or kick pedestrian walk signals with the soles of their shoes.

I'm stunned that no one has tought these people manners and how to behave in public. What's more worrying is quite a few of them have stroller in tow.

It's disgusting and I can't stand the smug look on their face as if they've just done something great.

That's self fulfilling - It might be dirty, so I'm going to use my foot; and make it dirty...

Skytrax is the BS here, not the DM (for once)

I have this afternoon written to the Company Secretary of Bupa complaining about the inability to contact Bupa and the failure rate of promised call backs and undertakings to do something that is not subsequently done and requires a complete restart. I compared them to Qantas in the letter but said Bupa call centre is Australian based so at least if it is possible to eventually get through the person tries to assist, sometimes unsuccessfully. I tried WhatsApp ages ago and gave up. Health funds are great at collecting premiums but that is the limit of their efficiency I have found.

Working in health care, BUPA are probably one of the worst funds to look after their customers. Excellent marketing and great for returns to their share holders but terrible to their customers. I would encourage everyone to run away from them.

People who stand on crowded public transport when there is a seat available. Like wall-to-wall crowded, and people still trying to get on, but men - and it usually is men - who ‘refuse to sit’.
If the transport is crowded how do you pick out that it's one, "usually men", who is refusing to sit? What about all the others in the crowd who are also refusing to sit?

I've had the experience in Sydney of getting on a bus to go 1 -3 stops, along elizabeth st for example. So I stand up but there are numerous seats available, and leave plenty of space for people to pass. The person behind me stops behind me and doesn't move pass and does not take a seat. edit: with the consequence that the front of the bus gets full of people standing up.

Is that my fault or their fault? I don't think my logic is wrong.

That explains why they got the Defence Force contract!

Ironic! This guy is complaining about how dodgy the skytrak rating is, but is also complaining about TK getting downgraded. Based on his premise TK got a 4 star rating by paying skytrak, so like was it a valid rating or not? He's made a massive case for the view that the TK rating was not valid...

That's exactly what he's saying. All ratings are bought.
So why is he crying about turkish airlines?
That's the irony. All ratings are brought, including Turkish, but it's a travesty that turkish have been downgraded. Ok, like WTF?

I literally laughed out loud at the contradiction in the opinion.

Edit: well at least he got 89K views...

I mean, attack the messenger if you want, but clearly the sudden change of ratings (and same for airports - MEL is 3 star on the website right now, BNE & SYD both 4 star) - show the whole thing is a scam. How does a product not yet introduced get 5 stars?

I'm not attacking the messenger. But you seem to be attacking me for pointing out the blindingly obvious.
I agree the whole thing is a SCAM. I didn't say it wasn't a scam.
That would include Turkish airlines getting a 4 STAR RATING in the first place, by definition.
Except the turkish downgrade is somehow a travesty??? somehow turkish getting a 4 star rating in the first place is NOT part of the scam???
the video, from 3 years ago, is an self contradiction. Not sure why you're getting so defensive.

I'm sorry. I thought my point was really simple to grasp. Apparently it's too complex.

(By messenger I was referring to him, not me - I'm not sure what his view count has to do with it.)

He was using it as example of how a rating can be downgraded so quickly for no apparent reason. He never said it wasn't a scam they got the rating in the first place. In fact he implied (possibly in another video) that the only reason they lost the rating was because they stopped paying.

If we both agree it is a scam, great, that was the only point was I making.
