What cheeses me off

I don't think the jacket is a problem per se, but the very poor instructions (which are also found in on the Silversea website about what to pack) where it is a blanket 'indoors' - duh - obviously they mean public areas but were sloppy and no one seemed to have seen the incongruity of the statement.
It’s not even that. It applies after 6 pm- for example not for lunch. The next sentence refers to no jeans etc ‘ prohibited in indoor spaces’ after 6 pm, so that implies that the previous sentence applies all day.

And it’s not even all public spaces. I was told I was allowed to traverse a holy restaurant or bar etc. sans jacket if I needed to get from A to B, or if I wanted to talk to someone at the service desk which is in one of the bar areas. 🙄

We’ll see.

Interesting list for AA service desk on the R - everyone’s special with them - that priority list is before they get to OW eligible and the military and the Amex/Mcard/visa ppl, and then you get to queue up to ask a question!
Yeah, when we dropped our bags I asked if there was priority other than the TSA pre check line etc. and she said, nope .. that's all we have and pointed to the long line 🤣

Having had our largest refrigerator stop running on December 23rd one year has been beaten by our bore watering system stopping running on December 22nd without warning on a 41 degree Celsius day.We have about 2000 sq metres with lots of gardens.
Very good test for us at how to recover during the pre Christmas silly season.

We have sprung a leak in the pipe leading to the garden tap which is of course, under the new deck. But being the country no doubt a quick call to the plumber this morning will have something sorted by Christmas. Or, we will turn of the water 😳😂

Oh, this lot are all twin set and pearls. Gent in the restaurant tonight with jacket and a dapper handkerchief poking out of breast pocket. And it was ‘elegant casual attire’ allowed tonight! I mean my God! I wore an open neck casual shirt with sleeves rolled up in a number of the indoor spaces, including dinner 😳😱🤷‍♂️
But isn't a puffer jacket a Tasmanian Tuxedo? You could explain the cultural difference

Jacket update. I talked about the jacket issue with my butler yesterday (yes my butler) and at lunchtime when I came back from today’s excursion, there was a jacket on my bed, unrequested.

It would be rude to turn up such a nice gesture, so I’m currently sitting in the bar with the jacket.

Just found our water heater has a gas leak -lpg. We are rural so it might end up a cold water Christmas. Probably needs the heater replaced.
