What do you want from Business Class seats on Virgin?

How do you get aisle access from every seat in that config? I am sure you meant to say 1-2-1;)

Maybe he was thinking Etihad J seat plans, staggered window/isle allowing clear access from the window seat.

Cheers,
Dee.

I'd like to see J seats everywhere. I don't know how you get J into an AT7 (Perhaps throw them out and go back to the jungle jets) but the main reason I don't fly J more is I live near an airport that only does 2 round trips on ATRs ex-Sydney.

As for the in-flight experience... The seats themselves are not the issue. Changing those is just window dressing. The area that needs attention is the in-flight service. I've seen a few brilliant CSMs and some absolutely woeful CSMs - Different people have different opinions, but some of the crew are just completely disinterested. It would nice to get *some* standardisation so we know what to expect.

Also (I'll try to avoid yet another DF/GF rant) can we get some decent options for food, including options for those with dietary restrictions. Maybe you could kick out Luke Mangan to free up funds to produce food that is actually edible. If you absolutely *must* have a celebrity chef, how about each month having a "signature dish" by this months celebrity chef. I'm sure you'd have lesser known chefs lining up for a chance to get that kind of exposure. Volunteers are much cheaper than paying for just one guy who seems completely disengaged and disinterested in your business.

The ATR has a J option, you just have to buy it (there is also IFE)! Think Euro J though!

Probably could call it 1-1-2-1-1, and that's the limit of my maths ability;)

Cheers,
Dee.

How about just a random scattering:

Umm... Ewww. But still better than the bus seats they have in there now, which means I'd probably pony up for those seats if they were only marginally more than Y

I received an email from Virgin Australia once again apologising for the postponement of the clinic (or "research project") and saying that they will be in contact in August to organise another one soon.

Anyone else receive similar?

Hmmm, almost he end of August and no response. Very disappointed in VA and apart from next weekends' flights BNE/SYS/MEL/BNE with my wife (which will re-qual Plat for me), I have nothing booked going forward and have decided not to participate in their sales for the foreseeable future (all flying going to QF at present, to maintain Gold there). You've missed out on a lot of business:rolleyes:.

VA, have you worked out that I am sorely vexed with you :p

I'd say you didn't miss out on too much. The session I attended ended up being some sort of generic market research. It didn't focus on the seat specifically.

That was my undertanding as well from our conversation, so I took it to being that the seat clinic is still to be re-done. I'm certainly not holding my breath...

I agree on your sentiments, I myself am also making the move across to QF, of which I just picked up 16 PNR(s) within 4 days without regret of being non status on QF (being status matched to AB SG did help the proposition a little).

I think VA has quite literally dropped the ball on this, especially with today's announcement by QF of the new A330 1:2:1 J class cabin :(

Won't it be a problem while Awful & Broken are still Awful & Broken?

Are the rest of the VA 330's the same as each other?
