That's what this sensitive, highly strung (but well lubricated) author gets ... the peanut gallery. :)

Non fiction ... colonial history; people, buildings, politics.

Aaahhh, I see - the Totally Off-topic Thread in book form :p:mrgreen:.

Or a story about the Census 2016. Sorry Rooflyer. Couldn't resist.

Care to elaborate on the genre RF? History? Fact or fiction?

The only thing I have ever asked of geologists is to place an "X" on the map. But they insist on muddying the waters with further detail. Hence my fight with them. And lawyers (sorry eesseeeyeean :) )

I love a contrast - maybe you write about colonialism and history and I add raw passion, emotion, and fear. Delicious recipe.

Endless material :)

I challenge anyone to write a bestseller re the Census :)

Anyway, we are enjoying some detail but let's not hijack the thread - am truly interested in what our members do. Please members, share.

Do you feel like your on the Muppet Show?

But, I digress....back on topic.

Currently work as E-Commerce manager for a Major Supermarket.(yes, 1 of those 2 , or 3 if you count the Bosch, but not tellin'! )

Am also currently doing my PPL with a view to being the next Chuck Yaeger...(ok, maybe not flying X-1s'...but the Piper wil do)

MrP also writes books. I think maybe 6 published so far and one second edition.

My 'books' are all owned by the government so no money there :( Part of Cert IV and Diploma qualifications.

Ah yes. That is an ownership problem.

I've had a research article published in the Medical Journal of Australia! And guess what, the Australian Bureau of Statistics was involved in providing the data!

OK, I have the title already.

"Love in a time of Census"

(with apologies to Gabriel Garcia Marquez)

(and to any other writers with talent...not like me)

I work as an adjunct professor at a Japanese university teaching human rights and certain aspects of law and international relations. I am also in the process of divesting my Kanto/Kansai property portfolio, including three cigar bars. Hard to compete with shisha bars and hookah lounges these days.

A company in which I have a minor interest made a component that was adopted for use in the A350. I received some nice tours from that. I recommend the plane highly.

I was raised by a warlord, have spent around eight years in three refugee camps, and have seen too many leaves fall from my family tree. My only real wish now is that all of our (the world's) children have an easier time.

My work is rather mundane, I'm an automotive audio and communications equipment installation technician which is just a fancy title for car stereo fitter. I work for two major companies in the industry partly on wages and partly as contractor, so no travel for work, I came to AFF to learn how to travel better for less and so far have learned a lot and looking forward to a lot more travel for holidays.

Worked in IT for many years. Since 2009 managed to turn that into 1-man-band IT consulting where, thanks to AFF learned much about DONE4s, maximising QFF points via WW, purchasing AA points etc :)

Semi retired now and moved to South Coast NSW Dec 2015 and now looking to get a web based business going in the next 6 months... need more $$$ to fly :)

Retired though I used to fly a bit to earn money.

Showing my age now as I was a flying instructor in the RAAF when people such as jb747 were on pilots course.
