What I ate today - the food thread

Had a fantastic lunch at Banksii in Barangaroo including several of the many many vermouth on their menu. Highly recommend it.
 
Wasn't today, but I could eat like this everyday! Vat Phou cruise.

No picture, but I did have delicious eggs florentine at HSW this morning. The eggs were perfectly runny, sauce hot, and muffins were toasted just right.
 
Was not today and frankly I didn't eat them :rolleyes:
but there was a lot of vultures and seagulls waiting to eat the finished cakes throughout the day

No pics. But ate an amazing 3 course seafood feast at lobster cave in Melbourne. We've been going to the restaurant for years. The entree size is a main for almost any other restaurant I've been to. Then the mains are huge. Followed by dessert and complimentary chocs or cake and port. My main tonight was a whole lobster on seafood pilaf. I was in heaven.
 
Today I was taken to lunch at my local Vietnamese restaurant and had pork vermicelli, preceded by pork and prawn rolls. Damn this place does good dipping sauces

The red wine jus was awesome. Just starting to thicken and syrupy, lots of flavout and washed down with a decent red

Well our table had 4 red wine drinkers and we did polish off 2 bottles - thankfully I was paxing a bus and no clients yesterday afternoon.
