What I ate today - the food thread

Egg theme here too but I made the most sublime scrambled eggs I've ever made!

Farmers Market eggs, splash of cream and then done over low heat. Right at the end, added some Pyengana cheddar and a truffled pecorino.

Took all my willpower to make more!

Love scrambled eggs.
It's cleaning the pan afterwards I hate.

I had grand plans of a roast chicken supreme with stuffing and was thwarted at the last minute by having no butter for the stuffing :(

So instead there is a piece of sirloin in the pan.

Wot!!! No butter, surely not. Butter is a staple, up there with wine, eggs chocolate and coffee (lol)

It is unusual there is not some there but it's not something I buy regularly unless a recipe requires it. On the off chance I eat toast, I get it at work.

Wine - does half a bottle of red used for cooking count? However I do have about 5 different bottles of gin.

Coffee - nope! Not since I got rid of my coffee machine. I buy it on the way to work.

Chocolate - nope! Only sweet things currently in house are Cobbs Sweet & Salty popcorn and a Mandarin and Yuzu sorbet. There was some Lychee and Coconut Tim Tams there until earlier today though...

Eggs - yes! I have them!

I never use stuffing in chicken. For some reason I find the smell and taste very off putting. Even if buying a takeaway chook I never let them cut it as they get the seasoning all over the meat. I just shove a lemon up there.

My essentials are milk, bread, eggs, butter, cheese, and a can of tomatoes.

We've been there on the weekend for a late lunch (say 2pm) and got a seat straight away. So the best bet is early breakfast or late lunch. They also serve the food very quickly so even if you wait a little while outside, the wait inside isn't too long.
