It's Christmas day here in SFO.
For late lunch/early dinner my meal is Clam Chowder

Liquid lunch so far with Kangaroo Island gin and local beer.

I avoid buffets ... however, this was sensational! There were a few more options/stations, but I had to limit the photos to ten.

First stay at a Rosewood property - very classy hotel.

At Historic John's Grill, SFO.
A "Bone in New York" Black Angus corn fed with a glass of Zin followed by a glass of Pinot. It was the right move to have the Zin with the meal and the silky smooth Pinot afterwards while relaxing.

I decided to finish off with a New York cheesecake and an Irish coffee. There is a lot of Irish in it...

Adelaide, hubby got the rib eye surf and turf, I had the slow cooked beef ribs and we shared veggies.

That steak looks massive Denali, I'll have to check that place out when I get home. Hutt Street is not a part of town I venture down.

Seemed like a nice area, lots of cute periods cottages.

Adelaide seems very clean and the drivers quite mellow. I know holiday time but nothing like Sydney craziness.

We had the sample dessert plate. Loved the chocolate tart and the Christmas pudding thing. I've always hated Christmas pud in the past but this was more spice than fruit. Would happily order it anytime.

I found Hereford a bit pretentious and expensive for Adelaide - prefer Press if you want a great steak

Thanks @VPS I'll give that place a try instead of Gauchos

I tried to get to Gauchos and a few other places but they were closed (Christmas shutdown).

A favourite spot as food is excellent and great location. We've had a few family celebrations there.

ETA - if you're in the Bay for NYE, where are you spending it and staying?
