What I ate today - the food thread

Did they forget to put food on your plate? :)

I thought the thread was 'what I ate today', guess not.

Anyway, we had chicken pieces in yogurt with preserved lemon and garlic then covered with rolled rice and lightly fried. This with salad, our own home grown tomatoes and greens, can't beat it.

As good as anything from any restaurant and the added satisfaction of knowing that you made it yourself.

A Clonakilla Hilltops shiraz, then a couple of glasses of an aged Pfeiffers Tokay to go with the home made ice cream topped of a great meal. .

Bruschetta with bacon? I know they say its pancetta but thats just a fancy Italian word for bacon.

Dont know how I feel about this. MMMMM, bacon but where is the basil, the tomato? Its not my nonna's bruschetta but I totally would order it!

It reminded me of something that Elvis would have eaten :D

I was being pendantic, is it "what I ate today", or should the title really be "what I ate recently"? Something for the grammar thread maybe.....

:)

Chocolate lava cake. For the 2nd day in a row, we had to have our desserts delivered to the villa, to eat later when we weren’t so full.

You just reminded me, we're at a Pullman this weekend and they had an amazing breakfast last time.

Have to say very impressed with the food quality at the BNE Airport one. Only one chef working evening and morning - very few patrons - but high quality and good variety of meals.
