What I ate today - the food thread

I love to travel, and I love to try new things, and no idea what those taste like........but those don't look very appealing to the eye.

What did you think, did you enjoy?
Sensational. You’ve got to like spicy food for breakfast.

Pooris are fried flat/flaky wheat breads. Simple but tasty. Best with a curry but just as good with scrambled eggs etc.

Idlis are rice cakes. Put whatever you want on or with them but a thin spicy liquid works well. This was my serving from a buffet. I don’t care how things look to be honest.

Thanks for the explanation. ✅

My tummy doesn't seem to appreciate anything over "mildly spicy" 🥵 (except for ginger - double serve please) so will have to be selective when I go there (on the list for 2021).

Love Tandoori/Tikka Chicken and garlic or stuffed potato Naan. The local restaurant also makes a delicious Kashmiri Naan stuffed with crushed nuts and sultanas as a dessert dish yum yum. 😋

Paratha with scrambled egg. Parathas are also wheat bread, fried. Layered so don’t puff up like pooris.
