What I ate today - the food thread

My share of a dozen oysters, 2kg of red emperor, home cut chips, and salad - delicious!

I made this the other night, more than happy with the results, although I used a ready made curry paste. The broth was great, it will be used for many laksa type things In the future.

There was a recipe for chicken meatballs in last Tuesdays Good Food lift out, sounds delish and we'll try it next week.

Easter Friday GetFish delivery from Sydney Seafood markets and hubby got his sashimi fill. Will use them again but next time will also get the snapper. This is Tassie and NZ salmon, tuna and kingfish with a side of soy sauce, black Vinegar, wasabi and ginger.

I'm keeping it simple.Making up a few curries to see me through isolation.Got some more meat and chillies delivered by the folk from Launceston's Harvest market.
So some garlic bacon-a nice bacon butty for breakfast.

I always get this on my trips to Tassie.Beautiful.
Next Saturday I will get some of their hot smoked salmon.

I am starving for the American Donuts Victoria Market (Melb)- been a while. So I fired up my breadmaker and Lauke pre-mix hot bread, pale yellow capsicums with Hungarian Goulash made with trusted European paprika - be aware there is a lot of fake, artificial or Asian 'paprika' being fraudulently labelled. It is said Hungarians have bread for the entrée, bread for the main, and bread for the dessert. Not sure how Drambie became my desert, but they have messed with the formulation and upped the price, so I dilute it 1:1 with Chivas Regal or Lauders Scotch(Syd DF $28). When that runs out, a Morris Tokay.
