What is your take on this wine?

It was fine. quaffable and not too expensive. Basically fine with BBQ.

Recycled Croissant from brekky for dessert - The Croffle at Cielo Koh Samui

Today lunch was at Saigon Noodles in Bondi Junction. Mrsdrron as usual had the lemongrass beef vermicelli salad. I had the chicken laksa.
Mrsdrron liked her dish and had a coconut drink with it.




The laksa was very mild but tasty.


It was easy to lose the mildness.


So an enjoyable cheap meal.

Premier Hotel Albany. Nothing very exciting but very nice Fish and Chips made
with local fish. Battered or pan fried. The taste was helped by the price. Friday Night Special - $20 including a pint of any beer on tap or any soft drink.

Pork scotch fillet.



My experiment with fried mashed potato and chopped brown onion. It may not look good but I can assure you that it tasted great.

Surf & Turf BBQ Platter - to share.
Steak, lamb, lobster tails, char grilled prawns, cauliflower gratin and onion rings


Dark chocolate tart with sea salt and raspberry sorbet


Tiramisu - constructed at the table!

Holidays are great but it is nice to be home enjoying a pizza from our local.

Phenomenal food and service at the Black Footed Pig by the water in Hobart a few weeks ago. A little pricey but did not disappoint.

Nice platter to start. Came with comp breads and butter.



Beef tartare was superb.




Excellent octopus.

And finally the main - squid paella,, which was outstanding.

Superb service and generous, tasty food. Highly recommend.

With 200 vineyards, over 60 wineries and 50+ cellar doors here on the Mornington Peninsula, time to try out another winery - Pier 10 Shoreham

Shared Croquettes
Followed by Beef Brisket with Polenta for Mr Flyfrequently (yum if I say so!)


Barramundi for me

Finishing off with Peanut Cheesecake and Peanut Ice-cream for him - with chocolate ganache and more roasted peanuts!

And Pear Tarte Tatin

Would say, his Cheesecake trumped my Tarte.
A pleasant way to spend an afternoon
