Home chicken curry, rice, mango and chilli pickle, fried chillis, yoghurt, spinach and potato, along with (unfortunately packet, but still good) papars. Not sure it can get better than this.

248 different gins available, but we selected the place for its food menu.

Shared scallops for entree.



Miss H went for prawn and chorizo linguini.


While Mrs H and I shared the 1Kg lamb shoulder with mash and side salad.

Tempo at Novotel Geelong - wedding anniversary acknowledged by staff with a card and excellent service.

No entrees as we had been out at a family lunch

Striploin steak, rare and tender with chat potatoes and broccolini for me

Banana Leaf Apolo - Racecourse Rd Singapore. Grandkids (11 & 8) first trip to Singapore and their first 'banana leaf' restaurant. Mutton Masala, Rogan Josh, Dhal, mixed naan plus the usual sides

Bask Restaurant Peregian Beach.

Starters were House bread with almond cream and Seasonal oysters with apple cider mignonette. I forgot to take photos of the starters but the house bread and almond cream was amazing (we always get this when we go there). Not a huge oyster fan but they were nice also. The mignonette was so moorish that I could just drink it on its own! Oysters were from Boomer Bay.

Mains were Black Angus rib eye, Duck fat potato gratin, cavolo nero, malted onion, jus



Wattleseed and confit garlic lamb backstrap, chevre fromage, roasted grape, sage and walnut

Naan not usually my favourite Indian bread but the above chilli and mozzarella version was pretty good.

Good food and service, as usual.

Went to dinner with client after I’d had a 2.5 hour appointment with 5 of her family (she and her brother were translating for their parents as my Haka Chinese is non-existent).

Went to Fairfield and the Indian Street, we ended up going to her favourite restaurant Ginger and ordering lamb rezzala, saffron rice, garlic and cheese naan and a garlic naan for me. Went down well with a glass of red wine.
