I saw it in 3 different VA lounges 3 weeks ago. Is that good enough?
Well there you go. VA has gone up market and I missed it.

That was my thinking. Plus the top one seems to have a purple glow about it...
Thread necromancy!
Just want to call out the food in SYD on Friday evening: they had mini ciabatta rolls, steaming hot sliced roast beef in gravy, and mustard, to let you make up your own hot beef rolls.
GOOD LORD it was delicious. Maybe I was just excited because it wasn't those bloody hot dogs again, but, seriously... the meat was moist and juicy, the rolls were yum, it was great. And obviously everyone agreed; first time I've seen an actual serious queue for the food in VA SYD (about 10-12 people lined up the whole time).
If anyone from VA is reading this: MORE LIKE THAT PLEASE. (And, you know, NOT SO MUCH WITH THE HOT DOGS.)
I doesn't need to my young paduan.
Please let me know the next time you see a choice of ham and salami in the VA lounge.

The Qantas Lounge? Not good enough if they can't have a choice of ham and salami. They've had two types of meat for at least 6 months. Hard to not notice.
Do you need to say something about the other selection and the lack of ham and salami?
I have the salami from either, but I have given up on the generic high water content "ham" served by both in the VA and QP lounges. The Qantas Lounge? Not good enough if they can't have a choice of ham and salami.

I haven't noticed. The ham has tasted quite nice the past couple of weeks. Perhaps I am hungrier.I have the salami from either, but I have given up on the generic high water content "ham" served by both in the VA and QP lounges.
There are no answers, what this this thread has done is merely illustrate that there generally is little difference between QP and VA lounge food catering these days....
Of course these questions aren't as important as distinguishing which completely interchangeable australian domestic lounge food is best, but I still demand answers!
I think the point of the request was to find out which post #81 photo belonged to which lounge. There are no answers, what this this thread has done is merely illustrate that there generally is little difference between QP and VA lounge food catering these days.
Check the photos in post 81 ...

Does it matter if one can't tell from looking at the pictures?

Someone else made the point that if they are lounges for frequent flyers - would it kill them to have a little more variety?
Still struggling with this thread, really like trying to compare bread rolls between QF and VA!!!! Which one is fresher or more sesame seeds!!!! As long as the beer, and good beer at that, is cold that is enough! Sometimes the best food is outside the lounge or even customs. Next time in KUL try Kopi time in the departure hall, a great laksa. And speaking of Laksa's, in HKG a great one just near the QF First lounge. I will often leave the first lounge of QF or CX just to have a great feed + a few ales.....
Maybe obvious to some, have not flown VA for just on 8 years and dont want too. After the demise of AN always thought VA was the new JQ. Sorry missed the point of the thread......
