What is Virgin Australia's strategy (post-administration)?

Strategy? Definitely to make it as hard as possible for customer service. Currently locked in discussion over credit card fee which is being refused a refund even though flight cancelled by VA due to crew shortage.

Three agents have said ‘credit card fee not refundable’ and ‘credit card fee is ‘used’ at the time of making the booking’.

Yet their fees and surcharges page clearly says the fee IS refundable in the even you are entitled to a refund under consumer law.

Just painful :(

Might be worth a complaint to the ACCC?

Credit card chargeback possible ?

It'll be that sky divider found on many of the US3 (plus Alaska) with the option of Perspex or cloth.
Will that mean that Row 3 pax will no longer need to put all carry-on into the bins as they will now have a seat in front of them for small items? Good outcome if that happens. Mind you, not sure where they will put the little cloth divider to protect the forward restroom from the great unwashed.;)

You can put your bags under row 2 already on aircrafts without the divider.

No need for a cloth divider when I turn non J guests around to use the rear lavs 😃

I don't dispute what you say but I was in row 4 yesterday and definitely saw FA asking row 3 pax for hand luggage so she could stow it in overhead bins. Had quite a job finding space.

Only noticed as I had something fragile above my seat and did not want it broken.

Did not help that there were 3 international sized bags filling much of the Business space.

The consistent inconsistencies. If only crew would read their manuals ☠️

This is worth a read, esp by those who think that the success or otherwise of 'roadshows' ( 🤔 ) is just a function of appeal of the company.

Slim pickings: IPO window for 2024 opens, ever so slightly

A sharp decline in sharemarket float activity this year looks set to persist into 2024 with bankers saying a choppy economy and equity markets may dim the appetite for new initial public offerings.

It comes as Australia’s funds managers and superannuation funds are being inundated with cash and as interest rates look to level out, or possibly retreat, equity is back on the menu. But the options to put that cash to work into initial public offerings on the Australian market remains slim.

As ever, in the Australian market, Qantas is the benchmark for the appeal of equity in the local aviation industry, and although its improved from the disaster of the period of AJ's exit, its not exactly soaring like an eagle.
