I get depressed everytime I see this thread.

Need to purchase some airfares and accommodation and it is getting lower.

Might get some sort of a dead cat bounce soon. And, speaking of which, it's back above 96c at the moment.

It's interesting to note though, since the GFC, the highest AUD got to was actually back in early/mid 2011. Some could argue that the down trend started back then...

I have noticed the AUD has been going up the past few days. Still undecided on whether to purchase July flights and accommodation right now or wait another week.

It will sit between .90-1.01 USD that's pretty safe, we'd need a major slowdown here and a large drop in interest rates to go below .90

If interest rates drop tomorrow, I'd expect the current 0.965 to go to 0.952

If she goes below 0.95 then it's a fast fall to 0.92 but going lower than 0.90 is a VERY big ask

Is general consensus that the dollar will rise if rates are kept on hold? Sure hope so, got a 2 month trip coming up with plenty of things left to finalise, would love to get a bit closer to parity again!

Yes is the short answer, but I would say it's already been factored into the current price. The minutes of what the RBA says have a big impact too ?
