What's your prediction on the Australian Dollar?

Yep, buy your $AUD now. US fed will probably go another rate rise first week of December. Aussie Reserve Bank will do the usual hold until early next year. When it could go down?

But right now, next 2 to 3 weeks, it's about as high as it will be for a while. Anything above 72 is good , 72.5+ is great. Sitting at 72.27 earlier.

Boca68 we should have really loaded up as the $AUD was sinking on Friday night in the US.
Yes the US raised their interest rate and the stock market tanked.

AUD now THB22.92. Think has been lower but the lowest I remember.

And Thais love to put the boot in when down. In November and the past 5-6 years the exchanges were offering within 0.20-0.25 of mid-market rate. In Chiang Mai on Thursday I got 22.70 baht, In Pattaya it has been 22.45 baht and now 22.40 baht at the best exchanges so they are taking higher commission.

Hope this trend doesn't continue into New Year.

The $AUD has a 6 in it at the moment due to weakness in China’s production of goods.
For those who love Euros the 500 Euro note is going to be discontinued....
It is hard to believe we are going down against the $US when their numbers are in disarray in a budgetary sense.
I doubt anyone knows what is going to happen other than maybe the Turkish currency will probably fall.

0.698 ATM and sinking.... :( !

If the shutdown goes for a month a lot of Americans with delicate finances will need a whole year to recover.
I read where one government employee has deferred his car payment and has contacted his landlord about his home rental. There would be many stories like this.
The visa processing is broken at the moment I read.

In the U.S. now. Glad I got all my US dollars in 2018 for the several trips to the US that I have scheduled. Average rate was .74.

Although our fundamentals are good and our economic outlook 'looks' like it will continue to improve, there's some instability in the Global economy right at present, and even though the US is a bit of a basket case right at present the Greenback is a safe currency, so people still still flock to it in light of these current situations.

We may hit the 0.65 level, but surely the AUD shouldn't sit in the 60's for all that long as fundamentals have to come into play at some time. So you'd hope to see AUD back in the low-mid 70's mid-late year - although as we know FX is anything but a complete gamble.

Just great.
I'm going to the UK (pounds), Iceland (krona) and Finland (euros) in two weeks time.

Is it because our interest rates are going to be adjusted to Emergency low's ? that has triggered our slide into oblivion?

Great!
Trip report!
Definitely. Even taking my good camera.
Can't buy krona beforehand, but Iceland is the king of plastic apparantely.
Only small amounts of time in London and Helsinki so only small amounts of cash needed I guess.
It is what it is.
