Post automatically merged:

It looks like Mrs Rugby left a phone in the lounge - anyone got an up to date phone number?

According to ‘Find My’ the iPhone did make it onto the plane, and stayed there. So it came with us to AKL, went back to SYD and was last seen holidaying in HNL. So I suspect it’s in the J seat 3E on VH-QPA somewhere. Reported to QF - rating it about a 50% chance of recovery.

Sorry to hear about your missing device.

If you have backed up the iPhone, you may like to consider remotely wiping it.

You can always restore the contents from your backup if you find it.

If you don't find it, its the perfect excuse to get a new iPhone !

Thanks Big John - we put in in ‘lost mode’ which keeps it safe and secure in case someone finds it and can return it.

@Admin mods - can you please change the title of this thread to ‘Hey Qantas - Where is Mrs Rugby’s iPhone (VH-QPA) Now? It’s now back at T1 but we can’t anyone to get it!

Mrs Rugby left an iPhone on our SYD-AKL QF143 flight yesterday. We’re assuming it fell into the J seat 3E. We’re tracking it while the battery still lasts and it went back to SYD then flew to HNL and is now back in SYD. We‘ve logged all the relevant lost baggage claims etc with Qantas but can’t get anyone to just go down and get it 😀 We saw it was back at T1 tonight and rang the SYD Flounge to see if they could do anything - no joy. Where will it go tomorrow? 😀

One other avenue to try is calling the lounges themselves to see if maybe they could grab it airside for you off the plane. I couldn't find a number for the QF international lounges @ SYD, but I reckon the domestic lounges should connect you to the right people: (02) 9952 9780 Lounge opens at 5:30 AM local time. Other option too is to call Sydney Airport and ask to be directed to Qantas international lounge.

Here's the Flightradar link to track where your phone is - hopefully it at least racks up some valuable SCs for you! 😂

I think Rugby said earlier they tried the Flounge but they couldn't do anything or send someone down to retrieve it.

The fact that no one has found it after three international sectors says much about the cleaning after each flight.
If you think cleaners take apart a seat to clean, then you're wrong. Nothing to do with cleaning.
If the item is stuck under the seat, then this is an engineering job on the ground.
