Im not sure of the islands we visited, but we stayed overnight in a hotel built and furnished out of salt and it was absolutely freezing!

Isla Inchuasi is the iconic island on the Salar de Uyuni.

Does this look familiar for the accommodation? The floor is crunchy salt and it was cold:

So no takers? The city and the country should really be very obvious to a frequent flyer community!
Is it Floriade in CBR?

Is it the Lagavulin Whisky thingy in Scottish Isles?

@dajop - are you going to put us out of our misery about the floral plane?! .. before @JohnM keeps posting various images with a familiar shape😉
Haha yes seems to be plenty of those shapes. I’ve refrained from adding to the collection though.

The city in question, is Dubai. It is a life sized floral reproduction of the A380 at the Dubai Miracle Garden.

So you peeps have never heard of the rare, but utterly magnificent and astounding, Priapia tree? 😜*

*Neither had I until I invented the name. 😜
You have confused me, from Photo 1 I would have thought/guessed Madagascar. Photo 2 and 3 in Japan there are festivals to celebrate what looks like something similar.

OK, here's a hint as to the country:

The temptation to cheat is way too much. There's plenty of clues in all of your posts (well the list of TRs' that goes underneath them anyway) ...... and as such I did cheat (by clicking a link) ! Might you be in a country whose people were often demonised in the tabloid media in some Australian cities, particularly Melbourne? (no, not China or the US!).
