It was STN gate 42. Lots of people there from multiple flights that were missed due to the shambles that was an airport run by MAG. Many tears were seen as everyone had arrived with enough time to clear security etc.

£200 later and a night at the airport hotel with an envious view....

.... And we are good to go. Took just over 2 hours to get through today.

It also has a series of models depicting landmarks from other nations many sponsored by the various Emabasies
On the subject of miniature villages here is another place but on a slightly larger scale. One of the photos provides the answer.

Mmm I would have thought there’d be snow on the Tibetan mountains. The red could be Australia but the dark patches (of water ?) kinda rule that out for me. Looks like a QF 747 so the Santiago flights don’t travel inland …..so could it be Iran ? 🤔
Edit ..on reflection idk if it’s a QF 747
