Will Qantas have a March 2023 double status credit promotion?

I think i may have to bite the bullet and book my trip to South Africa/Namibia. I've waited 6 weeks now for a DSC. I almost booked a flight on Air Mauritius instead.... but I couldn't get it ex-CBR, just ex-SYD. Prob have to book, then if a DSC happens, I'll do the J run to NZ for a weekend holiday.

So you can all thank me the day after I book my trip, likely this week. I tend to feel the loadings are pretty good for Qantas, still lots of pent up demand, so maybe we won't get a DSC this year, maybe later in the year.

When are you travelling?

SFO sale, then SCL, next JNB? (or SIN - to toe the S-line?)
I would put the likelihood Qantas will have a Singapore sale this year at about the same odds that Singapore Airlines resumes their domestic Singapore service.

Qantas is proud to announce a new ultra-long haul destination, with advance sales of it's Sydney to Sheboygan non-stop service, starting today. Known by some as the 'Malibu of the Midwest', Sheboygan, Wisconsin - The City of Cheese, Chairs, Children & Churches - is the next step on Qantas' journey to connect the world, without stopping. As a special bonus to our Sheboygan loving and loyal Qantas Frequent Flyers, we will also be also offering Triple Status Credits on all flights between Sydney & Sheboygan, for so long as the route exists. No other flights or connections are eligible for this offer. ... 😜

Not til September, but seats are slowly getting more expensive.

I'm the same - need to book for September. I'll wait til end of March otherwise I'll need to bite the bullet.
Same as well, have been sporadically checking the flights I want and late last week I saw that annoying "price almost gone" tag pop up.

If there is no DSC by the end of the month then I'll make the booking and wait to be made a fool of on April 1.

I reckon QF finance will be getting nervous about now that some government official will come along and tell them that they must extend validity of pandemic-related flight credits and vouchers to a future date, or into perpetuity, and so they would be very keen to realise stalled revenue as soon as possible, even if it’s at the cost of a few more bums on some well-worn lounge seats. A DSC offer that allows for any and all funding sources, including flight credits and vouchers, so long as flights are completed by 31-Dec-2023 could do the trick quite nicely for them.

Cheers,
Matt.
Maybe not quite a government official telling them... but still...

Before today, customers had to book and complete their travel by 31 December 2023. Following this change, they will still have to book by 31 December this year but have until December 2024 to complete their travel

QF offer 50% more Top-Up points until 24/03 ... So ... DSC from 25/03 or 27/03 .. Although, DSC usually comes out of a Thursday, so DSC from 30/03?
It's certainly possible. Late March seems to when these promotions come out if in fact Uncle Alan is feeling generous this year. One key question is whether status support will continue to be extended. If not, one would expect that the QFF member roll will shrivel up once the FoTSGs lose their "free" status.

Last year was Fri, 25 Mar. I’m still thinking this Friday, 24 Mar.

No real issue for QF to have those offers overlapping.

Sounds like perfect timing. Perhaps Uncle Alan could announce the specific improvements he has in mind for the Hobart QF Club while we're at it! 😂
