Just gone through BNE premium entry. It’s been open the last two weeks on a trial.

The regular security queue was back to the premium entry doors after snaking through the baggage claim area.
The staff member I spoke with didn’t mention this.
Admittedly the last 2-3 times I've been through BNE Virgin security it's been a 5-10 minute queue, and has moved fairly quickly. The loss of the Premium entry has been the key PITA...here's hoping it's open the next time I want to go through!

At the end of arrivals (all the way past check in, general security, baggage carousels and cafe in that order)
Is it Sydney Airport staffing, or is it VA2.0 not wanting to pay extra $$ to have security allocated to that entrance?
The VA staff member said the hold up was with Sydney Airport, and VA was ready to go.
Good to know...wouldn't have surprised me if it had been about the $$ though.
I thought they reopened Level 4 if capacity was reached on the main floor AND they had the human resources to do it?
Peak periods ... it may be open 10am but closed 3 hours later.

Yes, a different section. There's a small kitchen dividing the Beyond Lounge with the upstairs section of the public lounge.
