I'm assuming you work for woolworths and saw this in store portal?

Re: Woolworths reviewing partnership with Qantas Frequent Flyer.

If Greenline is correct then Woolies are back on track.

Greenline was the first person on here to post about the removal of QFF points. I assume wherever the info is coming from its accurate.
Thanks Greenline :)
Great news indeed.

Interesting. If true, good to know that WOW have actually listened to the complaints.

We have had another shop, again well over $100 and not received any WWRupiah. I think our running total from inception is $4.76. Mind you, if I have to hit $10 before I can convert to QFF points, I will be no better off since reaching $10 before I retire seems unlikely.

One of us got gifted $4 (WOW) over the weekend to reach the threshold - immediately cashed in the $10.

Sounds very interesting.

The key will be in the details.

We won't know the full effect until they reveal what the point earn rate will be.

870 points is less than 1500 points which is the conversion rate for $10 of the Auto Reward gift cards. Most frequent flyers here can probably get more than $10 worth of travel for 870 points so it's going to vary from member to member how much the conversion rate will be worth it.

It will be interesting to see if the Auto Rewards program will continue.

Are you changing your shopping to take advantage of the woollies dollars?

It's like the weekly Coles and Woollies catalogues... unless you choose the products on sale that week you're not going to save any money.

I'm finding some pretty good savings with Woollies - like the recent 30c back on every dollar spent on cheese. A block of cheese is $10 - that's already $3 in the bank. Same with chocolate this week. It's taken me around $40 of spend to get my first $10 back.

No. I buy the products I want to buy and used to be rewarded for that. Now, I'm only rewarded if WOW's idea of what I want to buy actually coincides with what I know I want to buy.

No point in buying a more expensive cheese with WWR attached if the cost is still more than the cheese I normally buy.

In yesterday's shop, I think I saw one, yes one, orange ticket in the whole damned store. This was Carindale, so not a small store!!

The new scheme is cough and no other supermarket around the world has come up with something so complex and unrewarding.

Re: Woolworths reviewing partnership with Qantas Frequent Flyer.

Mrs OATEK had been shopping elsewhere since the points were removed, mostly for convenience given the lack of a carrot to go further from home to Woolies. Last week an offer came for $20 off her next shop, which we took up on Sunday with a $25 shop. But unless Greenline is correct, it will be a matter of convenience and one-off offers that determines where we shop, and so far Coles and Supabarn have been the winners.

The 30c back on cheese was on all cheese in the entire store. Kraft singles to home brand to imported. It even applied to cheese already discounted in the catalogue. A pretty good deal.

As for the other stuff... I guess the rewards depend on whether you're willing to switch from Pine-o-clean spray and wipe to Ajax spray and wipe if they are both the same price but one offers $1 cash back.

It's pretty much the same as frequent flyer programs... they represent pretty bad value unless you're willing to look for the sweet spots.

I wonder how long before WW gives Ingrid Maes the sack.

Depends if it was her idea to ditch QF or just her poor execution.

Marketing people sometimes get non negotiable directions from above!

Social media seems to have worked.

Actually you want to GT rid of the head of loyalty Brad Banducci.

She was at Flybuys when it went downhill and at DM's when they offered one of the worst loyalty cards. So I am noticing the pattern.

Not in my store(s)!

More than happy to make that change when the price is identical, or the price after the cash back works out to be cheaper. Very often not the case though.

This is well understood.

If correct that is good news indeed.

Although I suspect that the backlash has been severe and I'm not just talking on Social Media ..... How's the like for like sales been looking in recent months ??
