Re: Woolworths reviewing partnership with Qantas Frequent Flyer.

I always wanted them to give an option where you could pick 30 QF points instead of getting a fuel discount. eg, spend $40 and get 40 points instead of a fuel discount and 10 points.

Yes, that would have been a good option to have had.

Re: Woolworths reviewing partnership with Qantas Frequent Flyer.

Actually you want to GT rid of the head of loyalty Brad Banducci.
Ingrid Maes is head of loyalty. Brad Banducci is Managing Director Woolworths Food Group.

my bad.. I'd read somewhere he had his hands in it too.. saying how good the scheme was going to be..

Re: Woolworths reviewing partnership with Qantas Frequent Flyer.

Yes. Not all staff will allow it, so it might be a case of trying a different check out.

There is currently an offer for Big W e-Gift cards at 7.5% discount. They ONLY work in Big W, since WOW have changed the number format to make the e-Gift cards store specific so you would need to go to a Big W and buy your WISH plastic cards.
Sounds good. That's the offer I was thinking about. The aim would be to convert to Wish or Big W gift cards which can also be used at Woolworths.

Re: Woolworths reviewing partnership with Qantas Frequent Flyer.

The whole thing has been a debacle of epic proportions, I've never seen days and weeks of endless social media complaints that have been present on the Woolworths facebook page. Normally complaints die off but woolworths complaints are flowing in the door.

Re: Woolworths reviewing partnership with Qantas Frequent Flyer.

Very interesting that Fairfax chose to lead with their story citing AFF as the source. That's pretty unusual IME.
There must be a few very upset people at Woolies PR today

Re: Woolworths reviewing partnership with Qantas Frequent Flyer.

I'm confused: Customer surveys showed 68 per cent of customers favoured dollars off their shop and only 9 per cent favoured frequent flyer points, while half of Woolworths' 9 million Everyday Rewards cardholders were not earning air mile points because they had not linked their rewards cards to Qantas' Frequent Flyer scheme. Of those who had linked their cards, only 20 per cent had redeemed points for flights in the last 12 months.

only 9% favoured QFF points. so why the backlash on social media ? or is that just a fe3w disgruntled AFF'rs having a vent ? :-)

Lies, damn lies and statistics :)

and "Customer surveys" that don't survey customers.
Anyone capable of thinking should have been able to tell that the numbers these "surveys" gave didn't mean what Woolworths Loyalty claimed.

Re: Woolworths reviewing partnership with Qantas Frequent Flyer.

I certainly hope that QFF points are an option for those wishing to redeem Woolworths dollars and not the primary reward for shopping at Woolworths.

I like the new Woolworths program offering $ discounts off shopping. I don't want to buy QFF points. Have more than enough already that I cannot use.

The new program is sh*te JohnK. you can only earn WW Paseos on the products WW want you to buy. and those products are very hard to find. Thats the biggest flaw in the system..

Not if you get targetted offers, then you can buy whatever you want...

Re: Woolworths reviewing partnership with Qantas Frequent Flyer.

SWMBO and I have earned WWR$40 already. Plus at least another WWR$20 once the double bonus comes in, SWMBO might also have the double WWR$ bonus - so another WWR$15. That's the christmas pork and turkey. No way in hell I'd be paying $0.015 per Qantas point.

yeah but you have to get those too! i've had bugger all from WW since the paseos came in..

The only offer I've gotten since the program change has been completely useless. (Please spend double in one transaction then you normally do in multiple transactions combined across the week and we'll give you a token amount of W$).

Re: Woolworths reviewing partnership with Qantas Frequent Flyer.

Once my card got swiped on a small spend I got an offer ($10 for $40 spend for two weeks)....

Re: Woolworths reviewing partnership with Qantas Frequent Flyer.

What I noticed in Woolworths on my last shop was that almost NOTHING was on special that I normally buy. I'm used to seeing about a quarter of the shop on special in a given week but there were only a couple of tiny discounts.

It's almost as though Woolies are going broke and are making all the rookie mistakes trying to get out of trouble and just making it worse.

Wish I'd sold my shares long ago.

I have just done a dry run with $100 e-gift card and successfully "converted" it to a Wish plastic card.

This backflip is so good it could win a medal for diving at Rio 2016

Re: Woolworths reviewing partnership with Qantas Frequent Flyer.

I canned my WWR card a month or so ago.

Might sign the cat up to see if I get some targeted offers I can use.
