Re: Woolworths reviewing partnership with Qantas Frequent Flyer.

The new cards have the same barcode as the old cards. It doesn't matter which one you use.

I don't think im even getting a new card.
I haven't got it yet and when i logged in for the first time in years when the scheme changed there was some random address which I have never lived at.

I guess bu default I'm not accepting the new system.

Who can be bothered with such a ridiculously complicated rewards scheme. There are far easier ways of getting QFF points.

Essentially you'll 'buy' points at 1.15c/pt....

I just noticed there's a forum waaaay down there for Woolworths Rewards - oops. Well anyway just in case anyone didn't get the memo.

Yeah, I agree that it's not worth chasing any more. The meager amount you used to get was far better than the pitiful attempt they're throwing up now.

I didn't think I was that dumb but I can't even be bothered to work it out.

They've lost me as a customer, that bit I can work out.

While I would prefer to have QF points back in some form than not at all, it really is a case of too little, too late for me. I have already switched my loyalty to Coles where I'm now happily raking in the Flybuys points (which I plan to convert to Etihad Guest miles).

I don't even have a Woolworthless Rewards card anymore. And while Woolies Dollars are still only earned on a limited range of orange ticketed cough, I won't be in a hurry to get a new one.

Re: Woolworths reviewing partnership with Qantas Frequent Flyer.

Well the extra offers have been slim at my place.
But I will certainly welcome back some QFF points.

I will wait till the finer details are released to make judgement. However I'm not sure why $10 couldn't equal 1000 points so make things easy...

Re: Woolworths reviewing partnership with Qantas Frequent Flyer.

Earned 5 woolworthless dollars today for spending $30 (had to get some on sale box pavlova).

Will be interesting to see if/when it posts.

Also need to figure out how to stop the auto redemptions so I can buy QF points with my rupiah instead.

Re: Woolworths reviewing partnership with Qantas Frequent Flyer.

We nearly always do the bulk of our grocery shopping with Woolies (plus a smattering of IGA and ALDI), so we got the EDR cards when they came out. Some extra QFF points ensued and some decent petrol discounts at first, though with the ACCC kyboshing the latter we buy petrol randomly again.

But I like the way the new scheme works. Did the usual $200 grocery shop a couple of weeks ago, and scanned a print-at-home $10 voucher. Had forgotten that there had been some $30 bonus offer in the email that week, so was surprised to hear the COC say "You've earned $40 which will come off your next shop." Something to look forward to, and as I scanned the bottom of the paper docket I saw a BWS offer of the James Squires range for $46. I popped over and picked up a slab of Amber Ale. "That will be $6", they said. Happy days!

Then last weekend I did a fairly frugal Woolies shop and headed once again to BWS to pick up 2 bottles of muscat for $29 (the cheap one for the Krimbo cake fruit, the expensive one for the chef). Once again I put my card away and paid cash for I had somehow earned another $20 so the booze came to $9!

I know this was mostly on the back of introductory bonus offers, but the new regime has far outstripped the old one for me.

Perhaps because they cost Woolowrths more than 1 cent each?

Just using your old card gives access to the new system rewards and also the old system QFF rewards (until cob 31 Dec 2015).

Re: Woolworths reviewing partnership with Qantas Frequent Flyer.

Do you have to activate the email offers?

Because WW want to make a profit on them.

Which itself is daft in that we can now figure out what their rate per point costs.
If I were WOW I would have done $10 = 500 points, or less. 870 looks too calculated as if their margin is 13% (yes I know its not 13% but too lazy to do the math).

Successful loyalty programs are about offering subjective rewards. Mrs Head of Loyalty should hang her head in shame.

Re: Woolworths reviewing partnership with Qantas Frequent Flyer.

Do you have to activate the email offers?

I've had to, similar to the old "500 points for $75, activate here" offers. Though I believe there was a print-at-home offer I had forgotten about that may not have needed activation, but did need a voucher.

So that works out at $4142.53 for a J return to Europe (......if you can get a seat) BARGAIN!!!

(Assumes taxes and YQ at $1200)

I love the new Woolworths rewards program without the QFF points. Much rather have the $ discount over QFF points that cannot be used for awards I want.
