Re: Woolworths reviewing partnership with Qantas Frequent Flyer.

If Greenline is correct then Woolies are back on track.

Fits with a survey I did a couple of weeks ago.
I was sworn to secrecy at the time.

The info from Greenline fits in with a survey I did long before the program changes were announced. It involved converting a specific amount rewards from the Woolworths program into a specific amount of QFF points. I can't remember the exact figure but it only represented about half the amount of points previously earned from the program. Of course for some members, any points are better than no points.

Re: Woolworths reviewing partnership with Qantas Frequent Flyer.

It really won't make a lot of difference to me if the only option is gaining QFF transferred out of WWR$ ... I'm earning pretty much no WWR$. If it goes back to some sort of QFF earn per $ spent then that will be very welcome.

Woolworths have started making it easier to get Woolworths dollars with the revamped targeted offers program. The changes have only just come in so some members may still be waiting for their offers.

Sounds like WW conducted a conditioning process.

Re: Woolworths reviewing partnership with Qantas Frequent Flyer.

Just completed an online order b/c of a $20 off next purchase offer + Paypal $20 cashback. Cancelled it, then resubmitted with some minor changes I wanted. The $20 off was applied to the new order. ;) What's not to like.

Re: Woolworths reviewing partnership with Qantas Frequent Flyer.

I'm confused: Customer surveys showed 68 per cent of customers favoured dollars off their shop and only 9 per cent favoured frequent flyer points, while half of Woolworths' 9 million Everyday Rewards cardholders were not earning air mile points because they had not linked their rewards cards to Qantas' Frequent Flyer scheme. Of those who had linked their cards, only 20 per cent had redeemed points for flights in the last 12 months.

only 9% favoured QFF points. so why the backlash on social media ? or is that just a fe3w disgruntled AFF'rs having a vent ? :-)

Re: Woolworths reviewing partnership with Qantas Frequent Flyer.

Went into Wow and converted some egift cards into plastic - picking up a few blanks.
How do you convert eGift cards to the physical cards? By paying with the eGift card? The eGift cards sometime have 7.5% discount from Entertainment book.

How do we know anyone was surveyed. I wasn't, and every one I've spoken to about it wasn't. They can say anything they like. I think when they start denying things like in the article above then its usually on in some sort of form. Remeber that Roger Corbett, who started the FFQ scheme, is now back at Woolies trying to help them dig themselves out of the mess that they are in.

Yes. Not all staff will allow it, so it might be a case of trying a different check out.

There is currently an offer for Big W e-Gift cards at 7.5% discount. They ONLY work in Big W, since WOW have changed the number format to make the e-Gift cards store specific so you would need to go to a Big W and buy your WISH plastic cards.

Yes that's correct. Go into the store and when it is time to pay I add a gc to zero out the egift card. So may end up with a Wow plastic gc of anything between $400 and $499.15

It is very straight forward to do. After the recent FlightCentre offer I have got extremely fast in doing it. 69 eGiftcards later....

Have never had anyone challenge me about doing it.

If they did I would (honestly) state, "Nowhere on your web site does it state I cannot redeem it for any type of gc, only cannot use it for prepaid MCs."

Re: Woolworths reviewing partnership with Qantas Frequent Flyer.

10 Woolworths Dollars getting you 870 Qantas Points

This will replace the current 'direct earn' model, due to expire on December 31st, which sees shoppers earn Qantas Points for every dollar they spend above $30.

0.011 cents per point (Vs $10 cash credit), i wonder what WoW are paying for these points to effectively sell at 0.011 cents each. Either way still totally pathetic given need for Woolworths pesos to begin with.

Re: Woolworths reviewing partnership with Qantas Frequent Flyer.

I will be stocking up on my toasters in the QFF store :)

Even with a big grocery bill, I found it pretty difficult to accumulate meaningful amounts of QF points without the targetted offers in the old system.

This is true, but at the same time, you didn't need to think to earn a trickle of points as every dollar (above 30) counted.

Now, it's like playing "Where's Wally" with the orange tickets in store.

Re: Woolworths reviewing partnership with Qantas Frequent Flyer.

I looked at the store comms portal this morning to find a notice about WoW rewards - QFF and came here to post about it, only to find it had already been mentioned.

It looks like you'll get the choice to earn QF points or WoW$ in email offers and be able to select QF points or W$ via the orange tickets as already mentioned (870 points for W$10). As for when it starts, all that's mentioned is "early next year" for the email offers and "towards the middle of 2016" for the W$ > QFF.

Qantas and Woolworths are meant to be issuing a press release about this tomorrow with more details to come closer to the start date.

It seems there may be a period at the start of the year where no points will be earnt.

I always wanted them to give an option where you could pick 30 QF points instead of getting a fuel discount. eg, spend $40 and get 40 points instead of a fuel discount and 10 points.
