i asked the good folk at WOW about this, their answer was:
I do apologize, however with regards to the conversion of Woolworths Rewards Points - Qantas Frequent Flyer points, the conversion does take place ever three months.

This allows our members to accumulate as many points as possible, which can then be converted into Qantas Frequent Flyer points.

HUH ??? still doesn't make a whole lot of sense/difference ???
There aren't going to be many people who spend >$2,000/month not including promotions. 8n fact for most people that's more like 3 months spend. What's the rush? The quarterly transfers are more than adequate.

very good point , John. i hadn't thought of that.

Just a word of warning to everyone.
I logged into my account on Aug 31st and selected the QF points conversion (I have about 1950 Woolies points). I received an email confirmation of this.
Today I logged back in and my account was showing $10 off shop option !!!
I just contacted them on online chat to advise them of this error and also to ask why I haven't received a single email from Woolworths Rewards for at least 6 months, possibly longer.
They are looking into it for me.

A few days ago I changed to QFF via an email link & received the notification from Woolies that the redemption settings had been changed. Upon logging into the actual account today redemption was still set to the $10 redemption. Yes it does pay to check.

Just wondering if anyone else received the free holiday offer as well in the same notification email? I had the link to make the swap and another link to enter for the free holiday.

hahahaha - wow don't send me any emails.

Yes

at my rate of 'generous' earn it will take 30 weeks to get to 2000 to magically convert to QFF POINTS. IS IT WORTH THE SWITCHEROO?

Hmmm just checked my account and it looks like my choice of QFF points did stick.......so far

they enter into woolworths rewards very fast. my points from this morning are already in my account

The points earn shows on the docket at the time of purchase as well as your current total.

Did a $34 Fresh shop while having a puncture repaired today - the 68 points were added immediately.

Last year I would have received 4 QFF points, today it would add ~55 to my account in December.

(Most of my woollies shops are under $80)

'Liked' the points not the puncture

Either they're still trying to discourage Qantas points (by making you choose delayed gratification) or QF are charging wow per transaction.

Or, it's easier for them to script transfers in bulk.

Sounds like clever accounting...

One of my transactions today was $5.00. All bakery. Staff discount kicked in and bumped it to $4.75. 4 points.
It seems to round up for some items and round down for others?

I too used to be a fan of a big weekly shop, and since WW 'rewards' came in my shopping has become small sporadic shops and a split between Coles, WW & foodworks. So they have definitely diluted my spend with them.

The key to WW getting me back on-side (not necessarily loyal) is to issue bonus QFF points offers like the old days with decent points earn.

I almost "never" do a big weekly shop. I prefer to buy what I need, when I need it. Otherwise what is the point of extended shopping hours? I suspect the old days of the Thursday night, Saturday morning major shopping times meant more $ per hour per shopper for the supermarkets. , not sure if they worked that all out?
