Woolworths backflips - QF points are coming back

I have $1500 of Woolies gift cards from RACWA to save a $75 note. Using 5% off and some QFF points is better than nothing. Apparently NRMA are doing Woolies 5% off gift cards now.
We like our local IGA as it is a really good one.

Received a book of vouchers in the mail this am. I could earn a point per $ spent + bonus offers. The vouchers went through the shredder where my EDR card went about 9 months ago.

Just a word of warning to everyone.
I logged into my account on Aug 31st and selected the QF points conversion (I have about 1950 Woolies points). I received an email confirmation of this.
Today I logged back in and my account was showing $10 off shop option !!!
I just contacted them on online chat to advise them of this error and also to ask why I haven't received a single email from Woolworths Rewards for at least 6 months, possibly longer.
They are looking into it for me.

My local IGA even sells milk in glass bottles which I prefer.

Many IGA's have pensioner day, with 5% discount.

I am not that desperate for Qantas points that I need to shop at Woolies. I'm happy to accumulate points through the CC and flights. Woolies can go jump!

I've just logged in to check that my change stuck and it seemingly hadn't so I selected QFF points again. The screen updated in a more promising manner.... time will tell.

Thanks for this.

Just checked mine - my change to QF points hadn't stuck either, despite getting a confirmation email. I changed my son's preference to QF points at the same time and his has stuck.

Might just check again in another couple of days

Seems the website likes me -- still says QFF points... And I accepted the double points offer, though double zero may not yield much additional - will have to see what is on special.

Happy wandering

Fred

Switched over the other day, but what is with the "points will transfer in december" bit?

Surely monthly (like credit cards) would be a more reasonable return rate?

We used to have a mere $20.00 share in a community owned IGA and received $80.00 back every year.We have moved and can no longer shop there .I still think the best shopping is looking for the for specials and discounts at all /different stores which most of us do!
I have done the woolies change to receive the Q points and I guess it will have some benefits.Still prefer Coles and points added on any item purchased plus it seems to have better options. Can use the flybuys site and book flights using points.Plus better shopping especially the fruit and veg section (where I live anyway )

Well I finally logged into the account since last year. Apparently I earned WWR$120, in like forever (or 10 months). Think I'm taking the money. I'm also a bit dubious about converting my existing WW$ to points. Surely I should get the points for the $pend that was required to get those WW$.

Also haven't received any offers from woolworths. Might social media them at some stage.

Got the email to change back to get rewarded in points. Back to woolworths from coles now.

A very low key start for attempt 3 with no email communications whatsoever and certainly no offers from WW. Swapped to QF earn but may reconsider prior to December as there are far cheaper points earning possibilities out there.

FB are offering a 500pt sign up bonus at the moment and I have received multiple offers good offers this week as well (including a spend $80 get $20 deal which was pocketed quickly off the back of a few half price specials).

i asked the good folk at WOW about this, their answer was:
I do apologize, however with regards to the conversion of Woolworths Rewards Points - Qantas Frequent Flyer points, the conversion does take place ever three months.

This allows our members to accumulate as many points as possible, which can then be converted into Qantas Frequent Flyer points.

HUH ??? still doesn't make a whole lot of sense/difference ???

Either they're still trying to discourage Qantas points (by making you choose delayed gratification) or QF are charging wow per transaction.

Or, it's easier for them to script transfers in bulk.
