Woolworths backflips - QF points are coming back

Seems like along time to process any points over to QFF

I don't understand why they are doing this. The old EDR system converted to QFF weekly at the latest, normally after each earning transaction. For some reason, they are chosing to covert to QF in bulk once every 3 months.

I don't understand why they would want to do it in bulk every 3 months either. It's really bad form

Aside from bonus offers, acruing the necessary 2000 points to convert to WWR10 to convert 870 QFF would take a rather long time. Remember it's 1 WOW point/$ of spend not 1 QFF point.

Just logged in and made the change to the rewards setting to have them accumulate for transfer to QF. Now have to decide whether:
a) I can find my rewards card - haven't carried it for nearly a year, and
b) Will I shop there enough to actually earn the minimum points for a transfer?

If they run their targeted offers system well, you should be able to make at least $10 per quarter and probably a lot more if you are careful.

Have swapped over to QF points, will comment on any targeted offers I receive.

Let us know here when they start the targeted offers system but post the actual offers in the Targeted thread I started last year so we can compare offers and work out the best strategies together.

Just swapped mine over.
I'll post anything targeted in the relevant thread. Mind you as I haven't received a single offer from EDR in months I'm not holding my breath.

My friend went shopping this morning and the Woolworths points and other details are already showing on her account. This means WR are faster than flybuys for showing base points. She didn't buy any fresh products so I can't advise yet whether bonus points will get credited as quickly as the base points.

And to make it worse, because I'm not going to buy brands or products I don't like I have the almighty sum of zero ww dollars. Not worth it for me at all and I'm sure many in the same position.

About 6 weeks for us to spend $2000 at woolworths

Isn't the new system 1 WW point/$ for all spend? not dependent on buying certain brands?

Is it? I don't know I have nil ww points now, so you are saying for dollars spent I get ww points regardless.....?

Re BAM 1748 post; under the recently superseded scheme you only got points or cents for a few select items. But now under the new scheme starting today you will earn points on all Woolworths, BWS, or Woolworths petrol spend. Therefore there must be many brands or products that Woolworths sell that a person would like. Plus the key here, as with Flybuys, will be general bonus point offers, and targeted offers.
Like many here I today set my account to give me Qantas points. It maybe surprising how quickly one amasses the 2000 points to give you 870 Qantas points, if you take advantage of all options.

They've just changed the system to introduce WW points. I also have no WW points but hopefully still have WW$8 sitting there. So now you earn WW points which convert to WW$ which can be converted to QFF points.
2000 WWP=>WW$10=>870 QFF points.

Thanks for that clarity.

So I need to spend $2000 for products and 870 points. I need to see if I keep going non woollies is the money I'm saving going to buy me a ticket/points for what I need.

Not something I need to ruch into I don't think.

I previously got around 10000 to 12000 points per year via my rewards card, now if I spend $10,000 at woollies ($200 per week for 50 weeks) I will get 4350 points.

It doesn't stack up as anywhere nearly as good as before, not enough points for me to go back.

Yes, you have to laugh. This isn't going to be enough of an earner for me to spend any time at all managing or gaming. If I can remember to go to woolies now and then I might get a single transfer a year, 870QFF.

However, I think I'll still do it. Without paying attention I've managed to lose/stop/cancel all my previous sources of QFF points ... if I don't do something they'll end up expiring (eek!). A scheme like this will, for the moment, keep the QFF account alive.

In my case the current balance is in WW¢ not WW$, and I guess that is where BAM is coming from. I have some items that I can only buy at Woolies, not Coles, and so I still shop there occasionally. But none of these has ever had an orange sticker, so no WW$ earn. I am starting from a very low base, and perhaps BAM1748 even lower.

This new system isn't good for expats who only come back once or twice a year. Will take a couple of years to accumulate 2000.
